Oh, and my husband and I are getting ready to switch banks to a smaller bank or credit union. We are with Chase. Last year they told me I was not eligible to get a debit card on the account because I didn't have TWO picture IDs. I just had my drivers license and social security card. They told me it wasn't any good, since 9/11 and I needed one more picture ID. I've had to use checks (whenever my husband isat work) and now I get a hard time for that at stores! I'm so done with big banks.
It's funny that home sales have been failing. While my husband makes good enough income to own a home and pay the taxes, our credit sucks. Why? Because during the time when we were enduring hard times, we had to stop paying on credit cards. Now that he's making a good income, our credit is bad, so we don't qualify for a loan. While I have been in a credit union for a while, and the interest rate is better than most, it recently dropped to 0.8% and I shook my head, thinking we are totally fk'd.
Banks charge fees for everything from using your debit card, to charging you $30 for inactive accounts, so if you do not put money in or take out of your savings account in a certain time period, they will charge you. One of the problems I have with our bank. Than there is if you do not have a certain amount in your account they will charge you. With credit union I do not see all these fees and charges being billed to me or taken out of my account.

Oh, and my husband and I are getting ready to switch banks to a smaller bank or credit union. We are with Chase. Last year they told me I was not eligible to get a debit card on the account because I didn't have TWO picture IDs. I just had my drivers license and social security card. They told me it wasn't any good, since 9/11 and I needed one more picture ID. I've had to use checks (whenever my husband isat work) and now I get a hard time for that at stores! I'm so done with big banks.

It's funny that home sales have been failing. While my husband makes good enough income to own a home and pay the taxes, our credit sucks. Why? Because during the time when we were enduring hard times, we had to stop paying on credit cards. Now that he's making a good income, our credit is bad, so we don't qualify for a loan. I'm glad, though. Why pay for a home in this country that our government has bad credit themselves, yet keeps borrowing and using money that's not theirs? Rules don't apply

Banks charge fees for everything from using your debit card, to charging you $30 for inactive accounts, so if you do not put money in or take out of your savings account in a certain time period, they will charge you. One of the problems I have with our bank. Than there is if you do not have a certain amount in your account they will charge you. With credit union I do not see all these fees and charges being billed to me or taken out of my account.
