  • little quick

  • Way too fast.

  • everyones giving u ad coment, heres good one, Ur good, ur great

  • tooo tooo fast

  • ur playing's good.. im not saying this in a mean way but i reckon the speed just ruins the melancholy behind this piece. it's almost...mechanic :/ slightly too much pedal pressing in some areas too

  • This not pro this song is easy and it doesnt become harder only if you play it faster.

  • Watch my version to see on which speed is it actually and how melancholic it is actually... xD And I think you played wrong Chords, in Gary jule's version is it F,A flat,E flat,B Flat

  • Dont know much about music, but the original by Tears for Fears seems to be at about this speed so sounded great to me

  • Do you have the piaon sheet of this song?

can you sent it to mee?

  • I love this song. Check out mine. Such a great song

  • a little fast it takes away the sadness of the song its like exactly on key tho u should slow down and i wont be able to tell the dif lol 4.5/5

  • srry but wy i need to say it to every body its wrong listen to the music !!!!!! OMG...

  • Yeah, it's a little fast, but very good :]

  • too fast but nice, I play it too :)

  • Wish i could play like that......

  • a little too fast (probably nerves) overall pretty good.

  • you should show your face whilst playing itl look very good and professional

  • wonderful. I love it. ur good.

  • It's written in 4x4. Yur playing it a schose faster

  • realy good;) just little more fast than real but almost same as the real one :P

  • someone have the Piano partion of this song ?

  • its a good clip it just to fast it kind of sounds like tears for fears

  • i want the sheet music:p!!

  • I'm not an expert on the piano lol. But i do know that you took it a little too fast and that i THINK you might have missed one chord at the start.. But i dont know sorry! Anyway your really good, i learned to play it once but forgot so you know i probably cant really talk.. :)

  • thats a lil fast just slwo it down and itd be better

  • My mistake... The author is actually Roland Orzabal... (I got confused over the composer of the soundtrack of "Donnie Darko"

  • I figured it was one of those two guys wrote it; I figured it might be Roland since as far as I know he wrote the majority of TFF's songs. ;-)

  • Just a little reminder: The author of melody and lyrics is Michael Andrews... You play good by the way. As you are aware you can enjoy it more if you play it a bit slower.

  • Heeey sorry but you playing it a little wrong.. Not much but if you want to learn right, can i post a video of me performing it?

  • the song suposed to be very mellow.. not cheerful and happy

  • its really good, but way too fast...

  • its really nice but way too fast, take it slow its a grey song.

  • jesus christ slow it down

  • man did u get tense cuz u like took o god damn

  • hahha

  • If you're aware it's too fast, as you say you are, why do you refuse to correct the error?

    It's too fast. :)

  • no way captian obvious, and you know why that comment is funny? cuz i'm 100% WHITE, can you say, crap lighting?

  • ROFLMFAO\

    good one lol

    and btw~~zomgimonfire~~

    awesome vid...loved it

  • very nice, i love the song...keep posting

  • it's good.. but it's not the right music sheet... because you're not supposed to play the singer's part.. i mean the verses are only chords

  • true, but thats not nearly as fun to play, and it just doesnt sound right without a melody

  • A little fast like everyone else has said, but you still did a very good job. Keep it up!

  • It's a little to fast, you need to put more feel into it, it's such a wonderful song. Sad, slow, melodious song. You've got talent though, keep up the good work!

  • you play very well, but I think you went too fast... you cud take more time and make the sound flow into the watchers mind and soul....

  • dude, that is awesome!

  • (it would most likely be spaced as zomg im on fire) but anyway less spam from me more comment from me... I've never seen the movie that this was from but it's a beautiful song, and you play it beautifully.

  • wow you rock!

  • wonderful!

  • I like your house

  • Very well done. Any chance you could do a tutorial video for those who want to learn it?

  • wow very nice played

you play very smooth and relaxed:)

i'm learning this song to but i'm just a beginner so it won't be as good as yours. Great job!

  • that sucked i want more slower version.and is that a mole!?

  • excuse me, i know its fast, and yes that was a mole captian obvious, go be rude somewhere else.

  • Just spam him lol.

  • slower

  • how come no one shows a better above shot. So I can learn how to play it too.

  • too fast but great

  • Wow great job. A little too fast, but I guess you already know that ;).

I've been trying to learn to play Mad World, I also have speed problems in some parts.

  • you have a rather large mole on your left arm, and you seem really nervous, try playing slower and gettin' the mole removed, TEHE!

  • hey, guess what, i DID get it removed lmfao, what now?

  • nothing... it was just like BAHHHHHHH MOLE... otherwise, good? I dunno it's a fairly simple song. Funny name btw,

  • Whos the women with the nice titts?

  • i knew there are going to be perves around somewhere... lol.... no offense

  • lmao, i know, who cares if its fast, if he can play it fast then he has more skill if he only could slow :D dumbasses

  • lol, i'm a girl

  • i don't care about the speed. but what are you doing with your hands? are these waving-motions really necessary? another tip: don't try to press the keys, try to point into the keys.. like u're pointing at something very small. you'll hear a big difference in your sound. and now excuse my english, i'm from Germany and didn't write such a long text in English far too long.

    good job!

  • good job.... sheet music/memorization or ear?

  • nice i rilly liked how you played the notes to go with the music 5* ^_^

  • Speed matches the original version by the sound of it, which was in the 80's style of music....however this is great. Keep it up.

  • i think we've established that i played it too fast, i'm am now fully aware of that, now that i've heard it at least 20 times

  • too fast! >_< but amazing still

  • hahaha practice with a metonome, wow some people really take themselves to seriosly. This is my favorite version on youtube....i've played it like 20 times so far. Good job

  • Nice on, like your interpretation :)

  • i agree this sounds just like the song. You should slow it down a little bit but still awesome.

  • This is amazing.

    people stop critizing her

like you could do it any better.

everyone makes music their own so shove it.

  • Your timing was a bit off - practice with a metronome. Also try to put a bit more expression into it (more pp's and f's and p's.. even if they are not in the sheet music.. you gotta feel this song). And the levels on the recording are peaking out. You need a mixer.

  • I love that song ever so much. Great work

  • Outstanding! Of all the piano versions of this song I have been watching here on youtube, your rendition is my favorite. Some have said it is a little fast, and I do normally like it more slow, soulful, and melancholy but there is something additional that I like at the tempo of your play. Great job...I like the framing of the video too especially the reflection of the stairs in the piano.

  • Moee on your arm:p overall, you play very godish!

  • im a musician, i wil have videos soon i play the violin and piano and i transposed it by ear, its so simple u dont need sheetmusic

  • yeah man, the original came on in the early 80's

  • To all the fr00bs saying slow down, buy a mitt, catch a clue. The original version by TFF is much faster than the 3 year old cover done for Donnie Darko.

  • i'm sorry, i dont know where it is anymore, but i'll let you know if i find it

  • you played the right speed, those people obviously hav enever heard the orginal song. Great job.

  • I desperately need the sheet of this song!If you could send it to me Zomgimonfire, I would be most grateful!!

  • i think she went fast on purpose a dur

  • It sounds almost like the song! Just that you went fast when the solo kicked in. Slow down.

  • tears for fears tempo is much faster than the jules cover. you did a nice in between

  • *agree* too fast

  • good, just slow down alot

  • too fast...sometimes its harder to go slow, isnt it?

  • Very nice! :') Liked the end part especially. I got a vid of me playing same song, but I dont have a very nice end. :\ Nice fingerwork too!

  • Magnificent!I love the solo its very beautiful

  • I was impressed with your finger work and how gracefully and loosely you held your wrists. There was wonderful follow-through on the ending notes, as well. (If you couldn't tell, I'm a piano teacher) JustBombin said you went a bit fast for the song, but the original Tears for Fears song was a bit fast, too, and you just about matched its tempo.

Out of curiosity, where did you get the sheet music for this song? Or did you transpose it yourself?

  • my brother found the music on the internet, but i really have no clue what site, and i lost the copy

  • beautiful, simply beautiful

  • a fine job

  • great job very good sound

  • asome good job i love that song!!

  • that waz asome good job u r asome at that lol

  • Superb! Exellent! Is that a Steinway?

  • a babygrand yamaha if thats what you were asking
