• Is it pigeon proof? that would scare the hell out of birds cruising the ghetto.

  • I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see these things flying in the next 6 years.

  • it will never be.

  • fucking hilarious!

  • Thats Bullshit, it is not a real flying car. It same like an helicopter.

U need to much space for the propellers also one shot in the right place and this wannabe-"flying-car" is going down.

    Real-flying-cars will be anti-gravity cars.

  • Made in Israel! Yeah! If people knew how many things that they are using on a daily basis, some developments are life saving were developed and invented in Israel and by Israeli scientists... Israel Forever!! I absolutely love my country!

  • its cool but the fuel costs to much is it really coming out to buy

  • insert in google:

    Civil Aviation - A Gloucestershi9re Perspective opages 10 - 20 .

quote page 10 "Hahn estimates that training in flying smart cars could be done in five days for about £500 - about the cost of a drivers licence. Automatic control override of manual errors " etc

  • it will be ...

  • We don't have the technology to efficiently do this.. it would use too much fuel, or if electric, way too much battery weight. Great concept, but still 10 years off I think, it is to be used as a consumer vehicle.

  • coco

  • what kind of horse power is needed to lift that thing?

  • ITS CALD A HELIKOPTER!

  • a kind but is not.

  • HOLY SHIT! I REMEMBER THIS INVENSHIN!

  • I think they got this idea from the 1962 Piasecki Flying Jeep (VZ-8).

  • Why is'nt this on discovery channel instead of crap like monster garage or american chopper. Where they built a hovercraft that did'nt work. Cable programming is ripping people off.

  • Maybe I'm wrong, but perhaps cause they don't like the Jewish state or the Jewish people.

This work is being done in Israel by Jews.

And race is a problem for some people.

  • Why that would be politically incorrect.Besides the jews in this country would launch a big campaign in favor of it. The problem is it would save fuel by going everywhere in a straight line.

  • eh...

    makes it seem to simple...

and why must the video assume the car running fromthe police wont just slam through the hoovering car when it lands?

  • the applications for police, emts and firefighters seem great, but that thing looks pretty ghey.

  • This is not a "new" vehicule or idea, in 1955 the US army had developed the Hiller Platform, and this is no more then a Hiller Platform with "body kit" and some extra rotors

  • yes and no, the Hiller could sustain hover without ground effect, which requires much more thrust than little props on this Xhawk could generate. (or that pipe dream Moller Skycar) Once you don't have ground effect it's also wildly uncontrollable without fly-by=wire.

Video is dreaming to say the least.

  • The moller sky car does'nt fly without being tethered to a crane because of the insurance company. They could get more lift with turbines since a turbine lifts 30 x its own weight.

  • think agan, my friend, there is a reason the SEC put a freeze on Moller's investments. It's all been a scam, albeit possibly well intentioned. Note Moller now claims he has to build a special lake to do further tests?

  • He doesn't need a special lake to do airworthyness tests, it's a stall tactic- Moller could simply put an experimental sticker on it and test it at a thousand airfields. Look at the SEC actions on his corporation, they tell all.

  • i gotta agree if terrorist use it and crash into buildings then well it's good bye.Only law enforcement and government related should be able to use and government operated. and as for the last one which shows a the x-hawk blocking the car...ummm i'm sure i would just ram it and yeah

  • if flying cars did exsist, crashing them into a building by terrorists would be no more effective then crashing a car into a building. He might kill 1 or 2 people. This is not a 747 jst which can take down a building. There is no threat from these being used as terrorist missels.

  • 1)u just put some explosive materials inside the car and it'll have a more devastating effect.

2)how are you gonna transport a missile??when only the armed forces are only allowed them? The Fbi/CIA watches the black market so u can't buy it from there.

  • Looks like a shopping cart.

  • Looks like a stupid video game if you ask me...

  • Looks like a submarine to me..

  • wow! simply awesome

  • Damn that thing looks ugly lol, but a nice Idea all the same :p

  • that was needed on 9/11

  • can't helicopters do exactly the same things?

  • Negative. The whole idea of using contained fans is that they aren't susceptible to the kinds of accidents you get with helos and exposed rotors.

  • the fire smoke...looks like black cotton candy growning.

  • I will take it.

    B.

  • lol interesting potentialities for terrorists lol

  • Most people here seem to think that this is supposed to be a replacement for normal cars and worry about drunk drivers, etc... But it's meant for police and fire departments and maybe military use only.

  • not for too long...

  • i wonder what drunk drivers would do to that xhawk.

  • The future of wapor is here!

  • The animation is pathetic.

  • Traffic jams are to cities as gravity is to X hawk.A good idea but will have its own problems in future.

  • haha yeah right..

  • lol! It'll be just like in back to the future 2!

  • that's some bad life saving from the ambulance team

  • what if you're standing below it??

  • 50 years from now people will watch this and laugh.

And was that ambulance ramming cars?

  • why didn't that car just ram it?

  • Oh I see...

    It's a hellicopter!

  • The animation is pathetic.

  • if this concept ever becomes a reality, terrorist would use this to crash into skyscrapers or just drunken idiots would.

  • people that could afford this wouldn't be that stupid and planes can't bring buildings down, only high powered explosives can

  • well one can't do much damage, but what if 30 terrorist with each vehicle crashing in? that would create collateral damage.

  • Stalled engine = death.. NICE!!

  • this look like something stupid high school kids would come up with. Can you say Jetsons

  • .. this is crap.

  • I'll keep my jet pack, thanks.

  • nice concepts, but too many problems to be used in the way the intend for at least ten years. Like, say, what if someone crashes it? How would you set up training schools for it? Wouldn't everyone be a potential 911 hijacker if these things were public?

  • The license to drive one of these would probably take like 6 months of classes and driving it airborne would also require some sort of air traffic control like with conventional planes and helicopters. Cool idea tho, but it won't be used by the average driver and will probably cost so much only rich people and government will have them for a long time.

  • does it come with airbags? (implied sarcasm)

  • ...except anyone that flew one in NYC and had a mild fender bender with a skyscraper would be taken in by the CIA. Would certainly be nice though if it worked like demonstrated. Doesn't look spacious, and very impersonal with the seperate bubbles and all.

  • uhh woa...this in my opinion is way beond the 21st century...and by the way if i had one of these i would just fly around and laugh at the people driving cars hehe

  • Will I die if I stand under it while it hovers? Will the driver die if the car flips? Will I die if I stick my finger inside the cage? So many questions!

  • CHECK OUT MY VIDEO!

  • No exposed rotors?

What the hell do you call those rotors on the back then?

  • Imaginary rotors

  • that is crazy. nothing can aculy do that. besides who would relly want to jump in to that thing out of a burning bulding. i know i would'nt

  • Design inpired by the Batmobile.

  • Lol, it's a canular...

  • thats ridiculous, society is not ready for that

  • It will never be...

  • guys, have you thought at all that after 9/11, we can't have any easy accessible vehicles that fly

do you not remember what happened last time?

  • What a piece, I rather have a car.

  • The car looks exactly like the car that Homer Simpson designed, with separate bubbles for the children to sit in.

  • that last part is so fake, like a suspect is likely to stop his car and not run over the x-hawk.

  • The yes men strike again?

  • this is going to look so stupid in the future. the idea makes sense for emergency purposes, but flying cars will never work for consumer use. we have bad drivers now, why would we put them in the air?

  • Ok, if this works, it would be awesome. But really, apart from some obvious flaws, cost is important and the fact that some people are too fucking stupid to be allowed in cars, let alone flying cars.

  • yea that will work post 911 LOL

  • What about when it rains?

  • ugliest car i've seen, but it can fly, so its kool

  • arabada sevişme olayı bitti desenize... kabinler ayrı :S

  • does anyone know any good videos on this site beside the dumbass arkansas parakeet massacre? If you do please send the name of the video to me thanks.and dont just post it on the comment board please sent it to me.

  • Such great innovation yet this fan will likely cost millions.

  • can't helicopters do exactly the same things?

    fact.

  • true ^^

  • This is such a pile! There's no Engine, no concerns for fuel and wieght. The physics are all wrong. Go look at the moller skycar M400, took the bastard ALL HIS LIFE and MILLIONS of dollars to just get the thing in the air about 20 feet.

  • Where is all the rest of the propulsion components? And eff the missions that can be done, I just wanna make it to my college campus during rush hour in 15 mins or less.

  • ohhhhh yeah because todays cities are competely prepared for flying cars, think of how hard it would be to traffic these ugly contraptions. "the future of aviation" ??this was the "future" about 70 years ago who gives a shit.

  • wow looks like crap, and its "functions" are useless too. an ambulance?! so the pilot has to be skilled at treating wounds too? How is one man going to put an injured person into that ugly thing? Fire on top of a building? try going downstairs... police chases? I'm sure that the suspects can make a U turn...

  • too cool

  • ?? come on now...scientists in the 50s could even do better

  • america was so ahead of it's time back then, but because of our completely pathetic government school system people today jack the ideas of yester year and call it a break through

  • so true!

  • Coming soon to a dealer near you... in year 4912

  • hhmm all these negative skeptical comments have me fearing for the near future. theres risks involved in everything progressive just gotta take that chance. obviously there gonna try to make the situation safe as possible. dont be such babies :).

  • welcome to 1992

  • GAY

  • can't helicopters do exactly the same things?

  • Emm.. Great. Now you can get idiot drivers crashing into sky rise building. Great!

If you put all the traffic in the sky, there will still be traffic jams. Just more dangerous without traffic lights 100 feet up...

  • an infrastructure built for pedestrians, bicycles, and mass transit is way more advanced than this thing. i liked the rescue from the burning skyrise, tho.

  • it's loks dangerous for stupid people and its ugly Get at better chassi

  • ya right, we'll have a bunch of retards crashing into the middle of fucking buildings

  • They been workin on these things sense the 60 's. They worked better then, kuz no somg pump was needed.

  • LOL never heard of such a BULLSHIT!!!

  • odds are, their using physics software. Graphics arn't important when you're running simulations.

  • The drive thru has been moved to the 30th. floor.

  • Or the drive by.

  • LOL like a floating banana

  • I would kill for one of these!

  • You're kidding- right? How can you put up such primitive animation and have anyone take your "invention" seriously. BYAH!

  • Hah You wish LOL
