Made in Israel! Yeah! If people knew how many things that they are using on a daily basis, some developments are life saving were developed and invented in Israel and by Israeli scientists... Israel Forever!! I absolutely love my country!
quote page 10 "Hahn estimates that training in flying smart cars could be done in five days for about £500 - about the cost of a drivers licence. Automatic control override of manual errors " etc
We don't have the technology to efficiently do this.. it would use too much fuel, or if electric, way too much battery weight. Great concept, but still 10 years off I think, it is to be used as a consumer vehicle.
Why is'nt this on discovery channel instead of crap like monster garage or american chopper. Where they built a hovercraft that did'nt work. Cable programming is ripping people off.
Why that would be politically incorrect.Besides the jews in this country would launch a big campaign in favor of it. The problem is it would save fuel by going everywhere in a straight line.
This is not a "new" vehicule or idea, in 1955 the US army had developed the Hiller Platform, and this is no more then a Hiller Platform with "body kit" and some extra rotors
yes and no, the Hiller could sustain hover without ground effect, which requires much more thrust than little props on this Xhawk could generate. (or that pipe dream Moller Skycar) Once you don't have ground effect it's also wildly uncontrollable without fly-by=wire.
The moller sky car does'nt fly without being tethered to a crane because of the insurance company. They could get more lift with turbines since a turbine lifts 30 x its own weight.
think agan, my friend, there is a reason the SEC put a freeze on Moller's investments. It's all been a scam, albeit possibly well intentioned. Note Moller now claims he has to build a special lake to do further tests?
He doesn't need a special lake to do airworthyness tests, it's a stall tactic- Moller could simply put an experimental sticker on it and test it at a thousand airfields. Look at the SEC actions on his corporation, they tell all.
i gotta agree if terrorist use it and crash into buildings then well it's good bye.Only law enforcement and government related should be able to use and government operated. and as for the last one which shows a the x-hawk blocking the car...ummm i'm sure i would just ram it and yeah
if flying cars did exsist, crashing them into a building by terrorists would be no more effective then crashing a car into a building. He might kill 1 or 2 people. This is not a 747 jst which can take down a building. There is no threat from these being used as terrorist missels.
1)u just put some explosive materials inside the car and it'll have a more devastating effect.
2)how are you gonna transport a missile??when only the armed forces are only allowed them? The Fbi/CIA watches the black market so u can't buy it from there.
Most people here seem to think that this is supposed to be a replacement for normal cars and worry about drunk drivers, etc... But it's meant for police and fire departments and maybe military use only.
nice concepts, but too many problems to be used in the way the intend for at least ten years. Like, say, what if someone crashes it? How would you set up training schools for it? Wouldn't everyone be a potential 911 hijacker if these things were public?
The license to drive one of these would probably take like 6 months of classes and driving it airborne would also require some sort of air traffic control like with conventional planes and helicopters. Cool idea tho, but it won't be used by the average driver and will probably cost so much only rich people and government will have them for a long time.
...except anyone that flew one in NYC and had a mild fender bender with a skyscraper would be taken in by the CIA. Would certainly be nice though if it worked like demonstrated. Doesn't look spacious, and very impersonal with the seperate bubbles and all.
uhh woa...this in my opinion is way beond the 21st century...and by the way if i had one of these i would just fly around and laugh at the people driving cars hehe
Will I die if I stand under it while it hovers? Will the driver die if the car flips? Will I die if I stick my finger inside the cage? So many questions!
this is going to look so stupid in the future. the idea makes sense for emergency purposes, but flying cars will never work for consumer use. we have bad drivers now, why would we put them in the air?
Ok, if this works, it would be awesome. But really, apart from some obvious flaws, cost is important and the fact that some people are too fucking stupid to be allowed in cars, let alone flying cars.
does anyone know any good videos on this site beside the dumbass arkansas parakeet massacre? If you do please send the name of the video to me thanks.and dont just post it on the comment board please sent it to me.
This is such a pile! There's no Engine, no concerns for fuel and wieght. The physics are all wrong. Go look at the moller skycar M400, took the bastard ALL HIS LIFE and MILLIONS of dollars to just get the thing in the air about 20 feet.
Where is all the rest of the propulsion components? And eff the missions that can be done, I just wanna make it to my college campus during rush hour in 15 mins or less.
ohhhhh yeah because todays cities are competely prepared for flying cars, think of how hard it would be to traffic these ugly contraptions. "the future of aviation" ??this was the "future" about 70 years ago who gives a shit.
wow looks like crap, and its "functions" are useless too. an ambulance?! so the pilot has to be skilled at treating wounds too? How is one man going to put an injured person into that ugly thing? Fire on top of a building? try going downstairs... police chases? I'm sure that the suspects can make a U turn...
america was so ahead of it's time back then, but because of our completely pathetic government school system people today jack the ideas of yester year and call it a break through
hhmm all these negative skeptical comments have me fearing for the near future. theres risks involved in everything progressive just gotta take that chance. obviously there gonna try to make the situation safe as possible. dont be such babies :).

Thats Bullshit, it is not a real flying car. It same like an helicopter.
U need to much space for the propellers also one shot in the right place and this wannabe-"flying-car" is going down.
Real-flying-cars will be anti-gravity cars.
