Oh, MAN. Gotta love the way they don't try to be subtle at all. Forget "please slow down" or something. "Drive like an idiot, DIE like an idiot" is a REAL slogan. And of course, Chris Eccleston is just... well, "fantastic."
I like this PSA. That's what we call them here in the United States-Public Service Annoncements, or PSAs for short. The PSAs-well, PIFs-in Europe are much more graphic than the ones here, and a alot more scarey! That's why I like them! I can't understand what the kid is saying at the end-"What a terrible waste..............of a (good motor?? Is that what he's saying?)"
@spy4863 That's exactly what he's saying. "...of a decent motor" (motor meaning "car" in Great Britain). It's a really chilling ending, particularly with that Eccleston laugh (wow- imagine him as the Joker!).

Remake this with:
2 Autons in front
OR
Duke and Scarlet in front.
EPIC.

"He is a bit of a ladykiller..." Mr. Eccleston, you are apt in a deeply frightening manner.

they should run this ad again... everywhere, it'd be very effective

Tragic waste of a decent mower?

Manages to be messed up, AND shocking, AND impactful, without being trite or over wrought. Nice one, CE.

No doubt this is too politically incorrect to be shown on today's TV...

First time I saw it was quite a few years ago, I'd say around the late 90s on one of the terrestrial channels (ITV or Channel 5, not sure which one?)

They really need to use this slogan. A lot. And preferably Sir Eccleston as well.

I love this! Especially in view of the Top Gear Episode with Chris.
I hope it isn't so 'cool' that the message gets lost. Almost everyone is so "past It" nowadays...

Very up to the point. Chris can be so scary and brutal and rough. A good choice for this ad.

nothing gets me like the one with the lady who gets killed because her son wasn't wearing a seatbelt in the back seat =/
this one here is quite brutal though
