  • The wilderness is the unharvested profits Wall Street , Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Congress, and Senate are drooling at the mouth to rape. I have to laugh simply because we all know the value of nature how it supports us ,but like a colony of virus in a petri dish we can only stop when our support system is dead.

  • God is something we made up in our heads, he doesn't exist.

  • @christo930 I don't want to go on a religious or spiritual debate here, because it requires more than this forum to cover it. But I would say this, that the belief, or notion, or assumption, or theory, or view, or concept (call it whatever) that this whole nature that we see around us has been created by some "force" for some "purpose" is what people choose to call "God". The force came into action when Big Bang occurred and formed the universe, and its quest of purpose is a spiritual journey.

  • @sidrahsiddiqui There is a big difference between calling nature "god" and the anthropomorphised God of the bible who is the basis of the 2 biggest religions in the world.

  • @christo930 Again, I don't want to go into lengthy explanations. You have a right to believe in any world view you want to. I am not trying to convince you otherwise. If you believe that there is no God and that he exists as an anthropomorphic image only, then you can.

By the way, there are many different images of God/s in human societies. Each has its own way of looking at His existence and attributes. In Judaism and Islam, there is no anthropomorphic God, for example. He is omniscient.

  • @sidrahsiddiqui That is not true, we were supposedly made in his image, which makes him an anthropomorphic god. I really don't want to fight, but I don't believe we should just make up beliefs, we should determine the truth as best we can based on the available evidence. The available evidence points uniformly towards naturalistic explanations of the origins of the universe and the existence of man.

  • @christo930 Human beings are made in His image, this is true. But it is regarding the spiritual aspect rather than physical. At least in Judaism and Islam, this is what this means.Humans have attributes of the Lord, the only difference is that we have them in limits,He has them unlimited. Now, again just as saying this does not make us little "gods", but make us spiritually capable. Similarly, man is the image of God, means that he can be an embodiment of Goodness. Read the First Cause or Effect.
