I character that everyoe loves and well Dean and Sam love is going through struggles and will have an episode or 2 about him. Just because another characters going through things doesnt mean there more important. I love Castiel with all my heart, but with or without him the show is about the boys first.

@ElizabethTVS you shouldn't find it offensive because the the laws of the 'supernatural universe' on the show are very different from our reality (for example, they have skin walkers) The Christian religion on the show may be based off of the "real Christian religion" but is still just fiction. For example on the show Castiel tells Dean that much of "your bible" is incorrect - which many Christians would disagree with. It's not supposed to be a real/factual representation of true Christianity

Guys, when you look at the screen cap of Crowley, he's in a room covered in angel proofing. He's hiding from Cas of course, but I wonder how long it will take 'God Cas' to find him.
I'm looking at some of these scenes, at 0:10 it looks like Bobby, Dean, and Sam are doing some sort of ritual. And Cas doesn't look like he's deteriorating, but maybe human and thus disoriented? @thekrazezone I believe the reasoning behind my parents' thinking (they conservative Christians) was that there is no such thing as magic, only God and the devil, and so anything "supernatural" could only come from those two sources. (I never said I shared their beliefs though)
The only thing Disney is guilty of is being sexist/racist in the past, but I feel they're slowly evolving as society in general becomes more tolerant and accepting. Gender and sexual labels are not of import.

@TheLMZ97 It's clearly Cas's vessel deteriorating, like when Nick's body was not strong enough to hold Lucifer and you saw Lucifer all sort of bloodied face and skin falling off. Jimmy Novak was meant to be the vessel of an angel, not Cas plus millions of souls so clearly it is taking a toll on the body. And there could also be real-Cas having an internal battle with the souls.
@ElizabethTVS Real people (or characters as complex as real people) don't fit into little boxes you can label gay or straight. Gender is superficial, meaningless... especially with Cas. Real love is more than vessel-deep. Cas and Dean have a relationship that transcends the physical and is not founded in sexual attraction but a soul deep, profound bond. Also, the angels on this show are not asexual, Gabirel and Balthazar were both rather promiscuous.

Lisa + Ben does count because it showed Dean struggling with the Hunter and Apple Pie family life. Season 5 showed how Dean was struggling whether to be Michael or not. Season 4 showed Dean raised from perdition and seeking redemption. Season 3 was all about Dean losing and giving himself up to go to Hell. Season 2 showed Dean feel shattered losing his father. Season 1 was all about him looking for his Dad and suddenly discovering he has to be his own person.
I don't think they're killing Cas off. It's more of a character development thing where Cas even says "The Castiel you knew is gone". He's not going to die.
@AmSoOver18 You can't tell anything about the whole season from a 30 second promo. These are brief clips from episodes 1 and 2. They have just started filming episode 4. From what I've read ep. 1 will deal with Castiel and Ep. 2 will be Bobby centric with little Sam and Dean. I feel confident that Dean will have an amazing storyline coming his way.

Guys, when you look at the screen cap of Crowley, he's in a room covered in angel proofing. He's hiding from Cas of course, but I wonder how long it will take 'God Cas' to find him.

I'm looking at some of these scenes, at 0:10 it looks like Bobby, Dean, and Sam are doing some sort of ritual. And Cas doesn't look like he's deteriorating, but maybe human and thus disoriented? So I'm thinking that with someone's help (Death, Crowley, God) the guys de-soul and de-angel Cas. Nice joke with the name btw CW, Cass instead of Cas.

@thekrazezone I believe the reasoning behind my parents' thinking (they conservative Christians) was that there is no such thing as magic, only God and the devil, and so anything "supernatural" could only come from those two sources. (I never said I shared their beliefs though)
The only thing Disney is guilty of is being sexist/racist in the past, but I feel they're slowly evolving as society in general becomes more tolerant and accepting. Gender and sexual labels are not of import.

There actually has been girl/girl kissing in SPN, and also episodes with cases centered around strip clubs... I all of which is fine. I think there needs to be more female characters in general, ones that kick ass and whose main purpose isn't to exist as a romantic interest for one of the guys. I'm all for as many seasons as SPN as possible. I never want it to die. & Thanks...

@thekrazezone I actually grew up without Disney movies because my parents thought any movie or book with "magic" in it was evil, and that Disney in general was too anti-Christian. It's people like you who are "sick" because you look at the world and choose to see only misery and evil instead of the joy it can hold for people. @TheLMZ97 It's clearly Cas's vessel deteriorating, like when Nick's body was not strong enough to hold Lucifer and you saw Lucifer all sort of bloodied face and skin falling off. Jimmy Novak was meant to be the vessel of an angel, not Cas plus millions of souls so clearly it is taking a toll on the body. And there could also be real-Cas having an internal battle with the souls.

Real love is more than vessel-deep. Cas and Dean have a relationship that transcends the physical and is not founded in sexual attraction but a soul deep, profound bond. Also, the angels on this show are not asexual, Gabirel and Balthazar were both rather promiscuous.

it was also about Dean willing to let go of Sam to suffer horrifically. It may seem all about Sam, but it truly shows Dean's stand point to. Season 6 was a hard season to watch only because you didn't understand why everything was happening until episode 20. But the mystery is over and Season 7 is here to add more conflict and perhaps things that will never be the same or can be fixed.

on family for once. He tried to with Sam in Season 5, but realize the two needed each other. Season 4 focused on Sam's Demon blood as well as Dean's "destiny" created by the Angels. I can agree Season 2 was focused on Sam alot, but then that lead to Season 3 all about Dean. Then Season 4 and 5 was all about Dean and Sam. Season 1 was about both Dean and Sam. Season 6 was about Castiel in his purposes trying to save Dean and Sam for Dean's sake. Season 5 had Sam take on Lucifer, but

People often feel they are on the sidelines of things. That is why maybe people love Dean over Sam at times. While he suffers having to clean up messes for people we reach out to him more. Season 6's finale turned out to be about Castiel. Sure Sam suffered in his post-traumatic stress disorder that will affect him later in Season 7, but Season 6 has been all about Castiel when you think about it. Well consider this that Season 4 was both about Sam and Dean. I mean Dean struggled seeking redemption while Sam was going on the road to Hell of good intentions. @christinekuli7 They have not made it obvious that he's not on, if that was true, they would have announced that Misha is exiting the show for good, but instead it's just that he is not a series regular which means more than likely he will be on recurring status like Jim Beaver is. They've made it clear that we won't be seeing sweet-nice Cas anymore, not our Cas, but they've also talked about redemption a lot. Nothing has been set in stone yet.

Just like on the show, the boys are stronger when they stand together than when they run off on their own, how many times have they gotten into messes because one of them thinks they can do it on their own. Lisa + Ben does count because it showed Dean struggling with the Hunter and Apple Pie family life. Season 5 showed how Dean was struggling whether to be Michael or not. Season 4 showed Dean raised from perdition and seeking redemption. Season 3 was all about Dean losing and giving himself up to go to Hell. Season 2 showed Dean feel shattered losing his father. Season 1 was all about him looking for his Dad and suddenly discovering he has to be his own person.

@AmSoOver18 You can't tell anything about the whole season from a 30 second promo. These are brief clips from episodes 1 and 2. They have just started filming episode 4. From what I've read ep. 1 will deal with Castiel and Ep. 2 will be Bobby centric with little Sam and Dean. I feel confident that Dean will have an amazing storyline coming his way.

Oh for God's sake. We're not allowed to freak out about the fate of a beloved character now?! It doesn't mean that we who are worried about Cas think he's the whole show, or are unaware that Sam and Dean are the main focus of the show. We just know that they're safe and not going anywhere, okay? We know they'll be fine. But we worry about Cas, Bobby and the other characters we love. It's our right to do so. It doesn't necessarily mean we love the brothers any less.
