Gotcha, I have been using 3/4 inch pvc with tape on it, but it is a bit on the heavy side. I really have only been hooping for a little over 6 months now and I find that a heavy and bigger diameter works easiest for me learning. But, I think I need to try out some lighter hoops soon too! :)
