There's a big difference between 'copying' and influence. Our influences are taken from the best, most powerful musical era, we don't see anything wrong with attempting to bring this music back into the limelight and put our own fresh twist on it. No novelty here. There are a lot of new bands only interested in replicating exactly what they hear, if you can't add something else to the mix, don't bother we say. besides where have you heard a cock-metal band before;)

I just saw Steel Panther in Vancouver this week...the booze was flowin, the women were dressed to kill, and the music made me feel 20 again.

The rock, rap, hip hop, & techno shit that kids listen (and party) to today lacks that killer energy that 80's rock produced. It was a nonstop party

Metalcore, I assume is the general term, and from what I've heard they use quite the variations in their music. "Wannabe" is a bit like throwing rocks in a glass house in this case.
