I'm confused with the title of the video however, it makes this God character out to be an evil jerk. "Want to know God? He will kill your entire family."
What if there is no God and that's why this horrible thing wasn't prevented from happening? Just a thought...
@jxaxmxixn this fine gentleman spoke at our church this morning. if you ever have the opportunity to meet him or hear him speak live, i can assure you he will set your confusion straight.
Robert spoke at the annual Catholic Men's Conference in Cincinnati a while back..............tore my heart into 100 pieces hearing his testimony. Bless you, Robert, bless your wife and kids.
Your book "Into the Deep" is annointed. I received you book from my daughter after my daughter read it. She almost drowned in a flash flood in August this year, but God intervened and after sleeping on the top of her car all night, the police found her and rescued her. It was a miracle from God that she is alive. She is 56 years old, and thanks God for His hedge of protection. Thank God for His presence.
Roger, you are a remarkable, couragous man. I can't imagine going through the loss and grief that you endured. Your testimony today at the Oxford, Me Advent Church really touched my soul. May God Bless you and your mission of spreading his word and unendless love. Please let me know when you are in Maine again. brittney.brown@maine.edu
BuckeyeSecratery, God has a plan for every thing and Robert never lost his faith i just got back from our church and it was a very very powerful message He lost 5 loved ones and never lost hope and now he lost another but is blessed with a new family a wife and 2 children his wife fainted and they found out she was still pregnet so the brought robert the baby and it was dead so he has a wife and 2 children and is expecting a new on in august 2010 and that is all a part of gods plan
@BuckeyeSecretary You have to read robert rogers book Into The Deep. It tells his full story and how he was comforted by God through all of this. Bad things don't come from God, they come from the devil and a fallen world. And God uses these horrible things for good. Me believing in a loving God, believes that though their earthly bodies died, their beautiful souls live pain free in heaven! And even Mr. Rogers believes in a loving God after living through it.
this man lost everyting and still believes wholeheartedly in Him. it is not about what God does to you it is about how you deal with what happens to you ! this man is so inspirational and instaed of wallowing in pity and bitterness towards God, he uses God to help other people. Tragedy will always happen in the world but God is always there to give us hope.
This story is so tough. The real tragedy is not that the Rogers family died such a horrific and untimely death, but that anyone dies at all. God did not create us to die, whether after a full life on earth or the tragic death of a child and family. The bible tells us that "God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God." God has used Rob Rogers story to reach so many lives with the gospel that he never could have reached before. God bless him for his faithfulness.
I saw Robert perform and we all sang "Holy Holy Holy" afterwords. I could hardly sing as tears were streaming down my face, not out of sorrow from circumstance but of the love and power that God has and that "All things work for good for those who are in Christ Jesus"
i watch this video everyday. i knew them so well, makena was my bestfriend. i miss her so much. i grew up with that family. i went to chruch with them. i miss them so much.
I've just read Robert Rogers book "Into the Deep" about this tragedy, and although I'm an avid reader I've never read such a heart-wrenching story as this. I had to stop several times to dry my eyes. At the same time, I was amazed at Roberts faith, and in awe of God's grace in comforting him. Thank you for sharing this.
i'm so sorry sweet heart. i remember hearing about it and everyone that knew these people were in my prayers constantly! my little bother (10)just lost his best friend in a flash flood too, he drowned on his four wheeler. so i can understand just a little how you feel.
he just got done speaking at my church and he was an excellent speaker

I just don't understand, if there is a God, then why would he allow this to happen? A loving God? Why would this happen?
