Actually zobazoda, if you would take some time to read the Bible you would know that it was the crowd whom objected and admonished Magdalene for wanting to perfum Jesus's feet. In particular, Judas is the one who supposedly protested to Magdalene.

The 'anonting of jesus' as the event is known, is actually the subject of serious scholarly controversy (as are much of Biblical events, as not all Bibles were written equal of course, then you get room for interpretation ad nauseum).

To elaborate, the Apostles protested because the perfume Magdalene used on Jesus's feet was very expensive and could be sold for a large sum of money which could be used to feed the poor. Jesus explained that we will always have the poor and can help them whenever desired.

The controversy concerning this is whether the Anointing was actually two separate events, both of which there is simply no question that Jesus readily accepted the anointing.

Speak truth and you will find it.

And one final word. Jesus was stressing the importance of helping the poor not out of a sense of duty and obligation, but out of a sense of genuine compassion and goodwill. The Apostles were intending to act on the former, which Jesus gently guided them away from doing as this only leads to falsity and dissatisfaction with the world as your attempts to forcibly change it fall into the void. Magdalene's generosity was truer than what "should" have been done. Jesus didn't shun love.

Have to agree on the condition of the paper and ink, though the information is what counts. Given what is shown, and said, it would be worth researching further, and discovering for youserlf IF that information shown IS real or ....??? To go only off of one source ONLY is wrong. To degrade and or insult others is equally wrong. To research this further however....THAT is worth something!!! Research it for yourselves, and come to your own conclusions. That's my advice.

@bluekittySC Not necessarily. It could perfectly well be that old if it has been properly preserved. I've personally handled more than 200-year old books and manuscripts and you'd be surprised to see the good condition that some of them are in.
