  • I am going to the Holy Sepulchre next Easter & really cant wait...

  • @PSAVA74 PLEASE put a good video of the miracle of the holy fire!!!!!!!

  • Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

  • Over the main entrance to the Church is a ladder that has not moved since 1860. It is there because no one Christian sect will allow the other sects to do any work on the Church without their approval. The Church was saved by the Caliph Omar, in 638, because when asked to pray in the Church, he chose not to because it would have become Muslim as a Holy Site. Omar then walked across the courtyard and prayed there. Now, a minaret and school are on that site. Please check my Sepulchre video

  • I have a picture of me with that guy. =]

  • so a muslim locked the door.....who cares. a muslim locks my panel beating shop at 5pm and theres never an issue.

  • well...your shop isn't where Jesus died, entombed & resurrected

  • well if to keep the peace between the christians then so be it. you see, people are fucking stupid, we are mammals who would pick a fight over anything. i dont understand why this is an issue, its a door.

  • The man who is closing the gate of our most sacred place the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is a Moslem. This is a humiliating act enforced by Muslim rulers when Jerusalem was under their control.

Sadly, we as Christians do not want to challenge this insult enforced by the Muslims devil worshipers.

  • Who would you rather lock the church? A Christian? Of what denomination? This is the only way that there's no fighting for the key within the Christian community and it's worked well thus far. Jerusalem's Christians have a covenant with the Muslims to protect the Christian Holy sites dating back to Saladin. AND IT WORKS!

  • @MedMan Fight? If your refering to the little beat down between the Armainian and Greek monks, it was just one little fight, no big deal. Also I think it's about time we gave up that so-called "covenant" with those heathens. That's our church, our holy site, and the Mohammedans no right to decide what to do with the OUR keys. We Christians CAN work out our problems, we don't need any help from other religions.

  • @SethNemah hehe try the Etheopians before that, and the copts before that...and thats just in this century...1766 someone tried fraud to claim ownership and god knows HOW many scuffles and fists raised in anger.

No, there is a reason...and..why is it a problem?

I find it...MAGICAL that such an aragnment is in place.

  • @slitor Whatever you little snake.

  • @SethNemah awsome...feel the christian love!

  • @MedMan agreed, the only way to remain impartial to the Christian denominations and to show a sign of respect towards the Islamic community.

  • if your a true christian(no matter what demonination) you should know that "do not judge for you to shall be judged". just accpet that a man is doing it no matter what religion he is.

  • dumb comment, vivasouth.

  • The Nusaibi and Joudah, two muslim families, have been the sole guardians of the key to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre since they were entrusted with it by the Muslim ruler Salah el-Din (Saladin) in 1178. It seems that has been the only solution to squabbling between the numerous Christian denominations, which have jostled for space in the building since it was built 900 years ago. Salah el-Din closed all but one of the 10 entrances to the building.

    Know your history.

  • @UncleRico13

John 3:3 I tell you unless a man is born again he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

Mark 13:22For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect—if that were possible.

Only the born again are the elect. I ask, would Jesus give charge of any aspect of his church to members of a religion that reject him as the Messiah? I do not wish to hurt your feelings but you must know the scriptures more importantly than knowing your history.

  • It's very cool to see, because I believe Saladin entrusted the two families with this job.
