They may have revised their HR and MM performance criteria first. As you regard it, in Racing competitions, a team should pick the best quality spares and examine them with aeronautics intensity,unlike the customer spares. Because a brand can satisfy customer with warranties after a while of failure, But when racing, a driver cannot  wait for warranties :D
