Wow another i d completely forgotten about...i think it was after pyjamarama but a multi role...??? Graphics quite clean in this one ....nice work spinny....
Jeez I remember an add for this in a c64 mag in like '85 and I thought it looked cool. I was an Australian kid who loved the Young Ones. From the sounds of this video, the game comes from a tv show or something?
It was good enough for it's day but the graphics are a bit crude. The music does sound like it's from a tv series. Similar to 'Only Fools and Horses' in style. Mike Berry who sings it appeared in 'Are you being served?' a British comedy series and there is a bit of Aidrian Edmondsen in this song as well.
Commodore didn't want any competition in the US market mate. The speccy is big all over Europe even today. The programmers moved away from it in '93 but the fans didn't. Plus Alan Sugar dumped it after buying the rights and he had no competition for his Amstrad computers in Britain.
I'm not an electronics wizard but it probably will work. YouTube user minijimi from Canada uses the speccy for his viedeos. So maybe he would be the best person to ask.
This was another great Wally Week game. I prefered 3 Weeks In Paradise (wells up)... but this was great too AND you got a free song. Nice work spinnyfuck for putting the song on the video. Respect.
Great series of games from Mikro-Gen. I have a fondness for Pyjamarama though. 3 Weeks is a game I've hardly ever played. Must get round to it at some point. Had to include the song on this one...lol! Cheers mate!
Definitely one of the more consistently good series for the Speccy. I probably spent more time on Pyjamarama than the others, but I really liked them all. Herberts Dummy Run deserves a mention and a video because it's often overlooked. Automania wasn't bad either really... I reckon they all deserve some serious coverage.
Shit! That's my 3 weeks in paradise taken up then! Busy next week, but I'll see what I can do. Totally agree with you about all the Wally games. It almost reminds me of the Dizzy collection!
Well thanks anyway S.Fuck old boy, I may just purchase a copy from ebay, although it would have to be on the C64 as my CPC is long gone. Emulation just ain't the same for me.
You had to mention that dreaded machine. Note the channel name or I may get angry...lol! My speccies have gone to silicon heaven, unfortunately! Still, if it wasn't for emulators, where would I/we be?
Ahh soz mate, I do also have a couple of Spectrum +2's, but one has a dodgy tape deck and the other a knackered RF modulator! Thing about the (erm..competitor from Commodore) is its like a brick poo house, and just keeps going!
Hey, it's okay! The thing about speccies is, they are easy to fix, if you know what you are doing - and I don't!. Most of it is basic! Could probably sort mine out if I took the time/or had enough time to try. But I don't just now. I'm not very good electronic-wise. Maybe someone could post a video up on how to repair Spectrums. I live in hope...still waiting...oh, well!
Don't know about that one! This is the original game. Can't see any other variations standing up to this. A big step forward from 'Pyjamarama' or is it 'Banananarama', it's too long ago now! From the Brian Ferry LP 'Multiple characters makes it more complex'!

I was disappointed by Resident Evil 5 restricting you carrying around 30 items. Move over Leon, Wally had 2 slots and still pwnd. Thanx Spinny.

What music is that?
pedroac 3 years ago
The music is by Mike Berry and was on the B side of the cassette.
SPINNYFUCK 3 years ago
I was wondering why someone did that music: was the game inspired by a cartoon or that music, or the music was inspired by the game, etc.?
Thanks.

Music was written after and for the game. It was different for the time. Good lyrics and understanding about the game.

now that i think about it, i believe it was actually "manic miner" and "jet set willy" that had so many variations.

That sounds about right.
