Yugoslavia was a great country that ended in the most fucked up way possible but at the end resulted in lot's of great nations. I understand what you mean with patriotism, but i guess, I rather be patriot enough to know and be proud of the history of my country but it stops there, the moment that one starts assuming that his/hers culture and nation is better than other just because, well, that is just arrogant.

The term Yugoslavian died together with the country back in1991.Yugoslavia consisted of 6 republics:Croatia,Serbia,Bosni­a & Herzegovina, Macedonia Montenegro and Slovenia. These countries are now all independent and have their own official languages which have some similarities (some more, some less), after all they are all Slavic languages, but they are not dialects. An example of dialect is Dalmatian, Istrian, etc.
