Although George Lamond did start recording in the late 80's ('88 or '89), his first album was released in 1990 and most of his freestyle songs were recorded (and re-recorded) in the 90's.

There's no way to justify even comparing the two in terms of talent! I like Noel; "Silent Morning" was a great song. But you can definitely hear Noel's limitations there. I missed the Freestyle revolution from the early '80s because I was just a little kid when this musik came out. But, I have been enjoying since the late '80s and early '90s. I heard of all these great songs, on the radio, nightclubs, but never knew anything about the artist name neither his personal life.
