Mystrol3- So true!!! There is no romance now people text what they want like a order at Mc Donalds! Or the put there goods on like home shopping network!!! George sang about true love and pain!
taco what the hell are you talking about kid? music now a days talk MAINLY about sex and money with arrogance only period. there is no romance, courtship, true love basically CLASS... the shit young punk ass's play now rely HEAVILY on technical sounds that words are hard to understand. but hey it isnt your fault, im not blaming that you grew up in a ignorant .
Wow i miss this kind of music i was a kid on the block in BROOKLYN on the stoop blasting this music while messing up the girls jumping double dutch, lol i wish i was a kid again man, listing to MARC ANTHONY,yes singing freestyle along with TKA,LIL SUZY,JOHNNY O,BRENDA K STARR,AND SO MANY MORE ETC.MISS THOSE DAYS.....
Yo i know allot of youngsters who have this music love it, freestyle NYC/LA 80' early 90's Latin disco still sounds fresh, I love hip hop but freestyle stills has a grip!!!!
I loved (and miss!) the decade between 1985 and 1995. The music in that era was so vibrant, so full of energy. This was a time when you could start dancing in the streets to one of these tunes and half the people around would likely join in! ^_^
George lamond, Stevie b, cover girls and all the other freestyle artists that made music back in the day are timeless classics no other music compares
@flashanova uhm, that's your opinion. I agree somewhat the music was the banging in those days & are timeless I agree as for nothing compares I disagree there is alot of new stuff out there you should check it out.
Damn you cut school to watch this be made lol. Tell me all about it man. I think freestyle is very underrated. Don't know enough about it. But I wanna go to the concert in Madison Square Garden comin up.
i LOVEEEEEEEEEE this song and i love george lamond!! i just saw him live this past weekend at Atlantic City Freestyle Free for all.. it was amazing!! freestyle will never die!!
I still play this video like twice a day...best freestyle song ever. Did anybody see the live version they got here on youtube? It's fuc*in great...Loose touch dancin with their old skool mustaches, LOL..NICE!!!

George Lamond music take me back to Astoria Park, downtown, Lamor East Queens, Corona, Forest Hills, Junction BLvd, the City (Manhattan)...Man.. those nice times.. for me.. if i miss anything.. just put it in.. thank you
Arguably, the best FreeStyle vocalist of the 80's. Had very professional music production and vocal range. He could make damn near any FreeStyle song a hit, he was that good.
No offense to Noel fans, but listening to George and Noel is like night and day.
The best, yes, I agree. I would say though, more like the 90's rather than the 80's.
Although George Lamond did start recording in the late 80's ('88 or '89), his first album was released in 1990 and most of his freestyle songs were recorded (and re-recorded) in the 90's.
Wow, MINDBAT, did someone actually try to compare Noel and George LaMond here??? It's beyond night and day, man, it's more like the difference between an atom and a galaxy! There's no way to justify even comparing the two in terms of talent! I like Noel; "Silent Morning" was a great song. But you can definitely hear Noel's limitations there. Anyone with any discernment at all knows that George beats Noel hands down any day of the week. Hell, any day of past millenium! Real talk.
Tre404, agreed...not even close. Even "silent morning" was at best a decent song, just kinda catchy and got airplay/crossover play. George Lamond is the best freestyle singer hands down, Stevie B. is next.
IT is amazing how we can be touched by musik or an ERa that will last forEVA. This is what FREESTYLE MUSIK did to so many Generation and the more to come. VIVA La MUSICA FREESTYLE y de todos los Latinos.
I missed the Freestyle revolution from the early '80s because I was just a little kid when this musik came out. But, I have been enjoying since the late '80s and early '90s. I heard of all these great songs, on the radio, nightclubs, but never knew anything about the artist name neither his personal life. I personally believe this man "George Lamond" is such of a great talented artist I don't know how old does he now.
the devil's nest will always be a place i will truly remember, am 15yrs old then(1985), and i met the girl who would take my virginity-LMAO!!!-good old days

George LaMond was never in Son By Four,Angel was the lead singer of Son By Four, they were on the same label Sony Music and sang salsa music but they never had anything to do with each other as far as making music goes,Son By Four are has beens, they arent even around anymore, that group was wack,George is a real talent,2 very different music artists.

One thing certain about Freestyle artists...Undisputeably the best live performers in the business...They never had to rely on voicing over a track like some these artists do now...Sad...This is definitely a time when artists that can actually sing came out of the woodwork and sang great dance songs...Oh, man, I miss those days terribly...
