  • Here is the full movie, if anyone wanna watch the diner scene

    watch?v=3HL-cee1hDE

  • After the truck driver tries to push him into the train you would think at this point he'd say the **** with the appointment and turn around and ski-daddle back to the city...but noooo...

  • Dipshits like this are the reason I keep my 96a1 in my car..

  • I SAW PART OF IT, I THINK IT'S CUT UP THOUGH

  • Did anyone notice this? In the roadside animal scene where he's using the phone booth, if you look in the reflection of the phone booth glass, you can see a camera man there shooting the scene.....LOL No Kidding, look at it again.

  • thats it. i cant watch the rest of the movie. cuttin g scenes out is horrible, and watching it in 5 min chunks here? no

  • Why did you skip Part 5, The Cafe Scene ?......best scene in the movie....Downloaded all parts and merged to one movie then find out it's missing.....crap!

  • @RubiTrack I didn't see the school bus scene, either...did I miss it??? WTH?

  • Why did you skip Part 5, The Cafe Scene ?......best scene in the movie

  • Part 4 showed the big trucks front bumper gouging into the trunk or decklid of the little orange car, as the big truck was bumping him -however- I saw no damage in part 5 while looking at the rear of the ugly orange car.... .... c'mon Spielberg....

  • Yeah, the diner scene is one of the best in the movie. "Ah, I'll just have a cheese sandwich, ah, swiss cheese on rye. r.y.e."

  • This truck driver is more than a literal pain in the bumper, he's a friggin nightmare on 18 wheels.

  • Boy the scenery in that part of CA is BUTT UGLY!! What a godforsaken place to be. NO WAY am I going there...well yeah I would love to go to visit the spots where the movie was filmed but who would want to live there!!

  • old rig has piece of rail-road welded on for its fender

  • what the fuck chuck where the hell is the diner scene?????

  • Creepiest scene is where the truck was edging him out into the railroad.

  • Peterbilt`s sales fell through the floor after this film...Not!!!

  • Damn He should have bought Chrisinethe evil car , That bitch would have given that truck a miserable death

  • he got punk out

  • download Duel (1971) Part 4/9 & Part 5/9 by TsEtSoMaN for the diner scene. For some reason Part 3/9 does not have audio.

  • Wheres the fucking diner scene..I love the part when he knocks the sandwich out of the guys hand dammit>>>>>>

  • @ccg1171 And get his azz kicked. That was one of the most entertaining parts of the movie. I didn't read the comments first. We need the "fucking diner scene"!!!!!!!

  • @MzSunnyJeep Right man, its a must..its so goofy when hes in the can & talking to himself..Gotta love it.

  • omfg no fucking dinner scence!

  • the guy is lucky that the truck driver could only find the gas petal if he was chasing him on the run. if the truck really wanted to, he would just floor the accelerator and that would be the end of that plymouth

  • I understand the whole "artistic license" thing......but if the driver WANTED to push him into the train, he would've just done it. That Valiant, whether in reverse, with the parking brake on.......whatever.........wouldn't have stopped that big "Pete" from pushing it like it wasn't even there.

  • 0:34 Southern Pacific !!!!

  • why did you waste time uploading the TV version? Without the dinner scene this film just doesn't go

  • Actually, this is the television version of the film, and NOT the actual theatrical (and DVD) version, the latter of which had the additional scenes of the telephone converse with David Mann's wife, cafe, and school bus scenes, and so that's why this version has none of those scenes, because this version is the TV movie version. ;) Still, I find it quite fascinating to watch this lol

  • at the train stop scene he could have just the steering wheel to the left,

  • hey rw4x4x3006...i remember those old peterbilts cause neighbor in the 70's used to drive one..we could hear his ass a mile away whenever he came back home

  • Is there no cops around this place =O

  • It's an old Peterbilt...No military rig would ever look like this crusty mother!

I can smell the rotten chicken wings, and piss jars, scattered around the cab from here!!

  • At 2:15 he should have got out and went to the back of the car to see how much damage was done to his cars rear end. Just looking at all the dings and scratches and dents in horror and just going ....fauk! .... fauker!!

  • Actually, if any cop saw a truck looking like that on the road...after laughing his ass off for a few minutes, he'd have it impounded due to a serious lack of vehicular hygiene.

  • @RW4X4X3006 its probably a military truck

  • International Fuel Tax Agreement tags placed on or near the fuel tanks of all commercial trucks, indicating they are registered and paying fuel consumption taxes and fees. Can't buy fuel for the rig without them, and any cop or meter maid would impound the vehicle and fine the driver/carrier a few thousand bucks and suspend his license, toss his ass in jail for a day or two....but this is just a movie, so it's okay this one time.

  • watch this guy's version. Plus, it's 10 minute sections vs. this guy's 5 min. sections

    6xnpRt2kAro

  • lol those car brakes dont compare to the semis hp

  • Yeah, why no diner scene? That part is hilarious.

  • First chance I got, I would disconnect the service and emergency brake air lines to the trailer, (now the truck can't move), jump up and pull the driver out, beat the livin shit out of him with a pry bar, stuff his ass into the tank, (so he can't get away) and grab his log book...put all kinds of lines through it, and scribble "fuck you DOT" all over it.....oh yeah, also pull the IFTA tags from the cab...no he's truly fucked! Why not? this is a movie......right?

  • @RW4X4X3006 wats ifta

  • Duel. . . a celebration of road rage before the term was even invented

  • Wow! The train is very long... FAIL! Did anyone notice the train starting over again? Lmao!

  • @wilburn4life86 Oh yeah...wow i did see that. Why didn't he just turn the wheel and go beside the train...?

  • @DieselSmoke92 Lol : )

  • 3:39. Oops, that radiator hose he refused to change is acting up. LOL

  • this scene would be awful...

  • but the most exiting thing in this movie is the incredible motor sound of that peterbilt truck

  • Jesus Christ, taking out the diner scene practically destroys the entire movie.

  • WTF! Cut the diner scene! What a chump...

  • it is much like driving in poland

  • That should have read 'he' and not 'the' of course!

  • The fight in the cafe between Dennis Weaver and, I think, Gene Dynarski was funny.

It looked like the punched the lamp above the pool table beforehand.

'I'll buy you another sandwich' (Eddie Firestone). LOL.

  • what happened in the diner scene?

this is the first time ive watched it i havent watched it on DVD.... im only a kid

  • No diner scene...no favorite. I can't watch this now.

  • i cant believe somone would put all the scenes of the movie in here but not the diner scene wtf. hey and fyi you can put like 20 minutes of footage on each scene

  • i cracked up at the part when he just up the side of the hill and waits for him to pass! :D:D:D

  • where is the diner scenn you tard, you cut out one of the good bits, TARDO

  • Comment removed

  • just another reason for carrying my .44 magnum with me!!!

  • Why doesn't he justdrive away to the left pass the train track???

  • cutting out the diner scene wasted this video.

  • no diner scene? one of the most tense part was when he was trying to figure out who at the bar was the trucker by the boots they wore, then accused the wrong guy and got his ass kicked.

  • @01tnql This is the original made-for-TV version. Also missing is the school bus scene - they were both added for the theatrical release.

  • @toasteroven2001 right- i remember that scene he told the bus driver a truck driver was after him, tried to get kids back on the bus, then the TRUCK helped the bus get unstuck-kinda funny

  • How did his car get pushed around the crossing gate instead of being pushed through it. The gate goes all the way across his side of the road it looked like he was on the wrong side of the road when he stopped for the train.

  • Wheres the diner!! Wheres the Diner!!

    "Just take it easy"

  • conanhk wheres the diner scene? What're you thinking leaving that out do eplain.

  • this is missing one of the best scenes of the movie.

when he is the diner ....might be on here. doubt it

  • Why doesn't he just call a sheriff? Stupid.

  • @Thejbirdy,

Either you have never seen this movie OR you obviously did not go on to part 6.

  • @DrMotorDude Haha..thanks Dr, I didn't go on to part 6...duh.

    Overzealous me.

    Have a great holiday sir!

  • Oh yeah doc, I wasn't looking.....oops...lol.

  • I thought you were being sarcastic there for a bit. The phone booth scene is the best.

  • With mobilephone? Hahhah :D

  • @sk8fin1

    Exactly, like an old Motorola....LOL.

  • @Thejbirdy also they had no mobilephones back then

  • @TheCGIMaster

Not even those big walkie talkie thingys??

    LOL.

  • @Thejbirdy hehe well those also didnt come until the 80's but lets not put logic into just enjoy da film :D

  • @TheCGIMaster

I hear ya sir.....making the popcorn now...

    :D

    (Spielberg is a genius).

  • @Thejbirdy

    Where exactly?

  • @BurlingtonNorthernRy Where exactly what now? Please remind me of what I said, thanks.

  • I Have tonnes of suspician on the truck but what about the train? its always that train driving near the road and somehow the driver speeds up to get infront of the car then the truck magicly appears behind dennis. If you ask me the train was in on the attack because later the truck beeps his horn at the very same train showed here and he beeps back like the truck wanted to don this again. that mean 2 people to arrest!hehe.

  • there are parts missing, It doesn't show him going into the restraunt and getting into a fight

  • At the train part why didn't he just turn the steering wheel instead of trying to spin his wheels.

  • Okay what I do not get is why the fuck after the first incident near Chuck's Cafe didn't he just turn the hell around and go home?!

I mean come on, I know that losing his damn account would be bad, but it sure as shit isn't worth this!

I guess when he tells his wife that getting there was a matter of life or death he sure as hell wouldn't be shitting her huh?!

People in movies never do what the hell they should do!

  • I love the way, after the train passes and the truck drives off; the train blows it's horn and the truck blows it's horn in response - as if they're talking, or laughing, together. Like the train and the truck are kindred spirits: a typical Spielberg touch - I doubt that it was coincidence

  • I rather liked that moment myself. I believe the two were giving a sort of salute to one another. They are comrades in a way- both the 18-wheeler and the freight train are crewed by tough, hard working men who are on the road/rails for long hours moving massive amounts of cargo, and apparently even a deranged truck driver still recognizes his camaraderie with the train crew. Your remark on that scene was quite interesting, by the way.

  • It isnt edited lol why would someone post a full video for us all and edit it taking tiny bits out? They wouldnt. Its the tv version.

  • yeah its the tv version. it cuts out the chucks cafe scene.

  • That sucks!

  • Yeah he could go and fetch that arsehole a crack but have you seen the muscles on the truck drivers arm? The truck driver would simply have to get out pick him up and throw him infront of the train! :-I

  • ...Where the hell is the restaurant sequence???...

    FAIL

  • It could be the T.V. version and not the DVD version.

  • ...or it got edited right before uploading because they were afraid the Thought Police..err, Copyright Police were going to bonk it. :P Nevermind that they would have bonked it already, anyway..

  • it really does lack without the restaurant sequence

  • Someone else posted the entire movie with the restaurant , school bus and old couple sequences on you tube; you'll have to look it up because I don't know how to send you the link

  • I hate how the truck is pushing the car on the track if that was me I would have got out and go punch that asshole out

  • So why didn't he get out and wrap a tyre iron around the truck drivers ear or was he too much of a whimp..............

  • i think if he took his foot of the break he would go into the train

  • Comment removed

  • Man, that is one determined Jehovah's witness!

"Please! Just take this watch tower!"

  • Um....what?

  • Another scene that wasn't shown was when He was making a phone call to his wife back home.

  • I think Conhank was mostly interested in the action in the movie, however someone did post the movie on you tube with all of the other scenes, you'll have to look it up

  • Oh I don't need to anymore, I already purchased the movie.

  • According to imdb, there are 70 and 90 minute versions of this film. If some key scenes are missing, it may be because the uploader only had the shorter version.

  • If he had turned around and gone home, the truck driver seemed so nutty he probably would have turned around too and followed him. Plus, he didn't want to let the trucker "win."

  • Well the truck driver was waiting for him later on but by the time he turned back had the guy gone back after Chuck's Cafe, he would of been back in the city before the truck driver would have caught up with him.

  • heu skip some parts

  • watch?v=bjHzcgw9mtY&feature=related

  • surely after nearly getting flattened by a train, he would turn round and go home lol

  • Many thanks for uploading this. Years since I saw it. great film. So simple yet compelling.

  • why did you remove the cafe scene?!

  • You just skipped one of the best sequences in the movie! Dennis goes into the cafe where the truck driver is in and tries to guess which one of the customers is the driver.

  • didnt u skip the cafe scene?

  • Would everyone shut up about bloody guns! You're ruining it!

I bet none of you would do what you claim.

  • why does the guy in the valiant always keep going foreward, if that was me i would have turned around

  • he wants to ''reach the finish''

  • He probably has to go in that direction for his job, the problem in those barren desert areas is that that might be the only way by road to reach his destination LOL If I had a choice between Life and Job I would choose life and go in the other direction just like you HAHAHA

  • gotta agree - seems like he's just asking for it

  • that train's horn beats that trucks horn any day.

  • guy in the valiant should have carried the gun

  • Truckers carry guns with them.

  • why didn't he just get out of the car, run back to the truck, and pull the nutcase out? that's what i would have done.

  • Bet you wouldn't after seeing this film a few times, lol...

  • actually i would, if some faggot in a rusty, old truck was following and trying to terrorize me, i wouldn't just try to drive off, when the truck is just sitting there. id get out and take the chance of getting my head blown off. better than being pushed into a train, like a little bitch lol

  • LOL, agreed.

  • If it was me, I would be glad that I could see this film period!

  • You cut out the Diner AND Bus scene? Man, what's wrong with you? No offense, but why did you do that? You DO know you can upload ten minutes each, right?

  • hes a piece of shit i know what your talkin about

  • I know ;_;

  • I am also pissed off the diner scene was taken out, but don't remember a scene with a bus

  • The bus scene is when he just leaves the diner and along the way there is a bus driver that pulls him over and asks for assistance.

  • Thanks!!
