I didn't think the last mission was about Hera. I thought it was more about "sending [Galactica] off in style", hurting the Cylons one last time.

Guess what - the Cylons are much fitter than use at the beginning, they are only falling apart now because they have become so much like us. Cavil has it right - they're machines and they should act like it.

What do you mean potential - like superpowers? Are we watching the same show? Stargate does all that ascension and rapid evolution crap.

What's the big threat from Hera? How is one little girl such a danger to the survival of humanity that an entire Cylon war machine isn't?

Being worthy of survival is what makes us people - the Cylon argument is that humans survive for survival's sake and do the most inhuman deeds to accomplish this. At the beginning the Cylons are far more worthy of survival than us - but as time passes they too are succumbing to more human impulses, blurring the barriers between our two species.

Roslin's becoming a dictator and Adama's gonna lose it big time when she pops her clogs and he finds out about Tigh. Only Apollo and Starbuck can pull the iron out of the fire. Money says Lee becomes president. Vice-president under Zarek minimum.

Roslin has almost been a dictator cince season 1, but these are not *normal* times and she has done what she feels is for the good and survival of humanity, to the cost of her own beliefs and ethics sometimes. You have to admire her for that, I am not saying she has made mistakes but her #1 priority has always been to the people she leads. And Im still not convinced they will kill off Mary McDonnell before near the end of the season when she is a big draw for the show.

True, she has done much to be admired for, but just because they are in an extreme situation doesn't automatically make everything and anything acceptable. Decisive and extreme action can be justified in a life and death situation where time is of the essence - but not the lengthy and deliberate persecution of an individual or the crackdowns on civil liberties. Abducting a child from its parents by the state is utterly unforgivable.
