Scariest moment in the movie for me was when the claustrophobic girl died in a claustrophobic situation. I am claustrophobic, as well as slightly hydrophobic - looking at large bodies of water makes me unsettled. I remember my trip to Disneyland, there was a small pier of dark water in the theme park that the area wrapped around. I kept picturing myself drowning in it. It's awful to have phobias, especially when you're in a predicament dealing with one.

well, heres the facts, the costa concordia is about twice the size of the titanic, but it went down partially in calm waters where the captain steered it. Iit tore its guts out on a rock lodged in its hull. meanwhile the evacuation didnt go to plan and happened too late(people died waiting to be told what to do and wearing life jackets) . it all makes for a rather depressing story of human failure and arrogance. We'll know the full story after the enquiry but its clear the coastguard are pissed.

Ugggh! I'm sick of people sayin this is like Titanic! It's not. I've seen both Titanic&Poseidon and there's nothing really alike. Come on people it's not like there's alot of plots you can do with a cruise ship. If a movies about a ship, it's most likely gonna sink, Now even though both movies have sinking ships, they are toally different. i would recommend this movie to anyone....I even CRIED, thats how good it is, so watch it!! :) <3

To be honest... The movie became unbearable after the wave capsized the ship. I didn't really care for any of the characters except for the one chick who is sneaking to America to see he brother... And do you know what happened to her, she dies. The girl gets jabbed in the head by metal and dies, but the old guy ends up getting hit in the head pretty hard by a piece of metal and lives? That was bullshit.
