Till now -(before law changed)- S.Korea(ROK)'s national Law restricts major newspaper companies-(right wings)- not to broadcast freely. They're-(MBC,KBS1,KBS2,SBS)- worrying about to lose their vested rights and political posittion.

many people is confused of the real meaning of 'democracy'...just because the system we are using is democracy, it doesn't mean that every broad cast has to have freedom of speech which will shatter the fundamental base of a order and peace of the country ...specially a government who runs by winning vote in fair election...so you media who make selfish motives vs government ...better S.F.U. and wait for next election...don`t confuse innocent citizens ...I don`t appreciate you people at all.
although this media policy is, i think, a bull crap, as long as it's passed with consent through more 'democratic' and legal process, I won't have any issue on it. numbers and figures to back this policy to go forward given by Han party or Lee admin. are all proven bogus. won't this mean something to anyone?
At least, in the U.S., it is considered as a failed policy. you brought FOX, yeah, they are considered as 땡전뉴스 for repubs and bush admin for longtime. Less localized news station and news papers are closing down. New jobs? it also failed miserably since big corp centralizes stations.
it's like taking on the universally known failed policy just like the health insurance policy from U.S. what might have worked or not worked have to be discussed with much more reliable numbers and figures to back this up. but passing this with no consent, is not a true democracy. and this is why there is such resistant from the public also.
When the government pass the law that might not benefit their profits they call it "the Collapse of Democracy" When the government screws up the people by law that surely benefits for some who already stinking rich they call it it's just the change we should adapt.. What a rip-off.
