ur a really talented dancer!!! nice flowing movements of the working leg joints and you have a very good posture. just try to point your toes toroughly, and to power you leaps, abbreviating the devlopes if poss. sorry im just a very picky dancer :) what organisation do you dance for???
@AVintageTipeOfMoment It's never too late! I started dancing when I was 10 and everybody else has been dancing since they were 2! I am just as good if not better than them! Never give up, just try your hardest... And you'll be amazing in no time! :)

Dance is about showing off , showing off what you can do with yourself and showing off how you feel lol , i've danced for 14 years and this girl right here , she can dance . excellent .
If you watch the dance, if you look at her expression, there is no feeling there. A lot of people can be trained to be great dancers, but it's not until you can actually show emotion and for it to be real, not forced, that you will become a GREAT dancer. you know?
I have been dancing for 10 years and your technique was very good!! the only thing I really saw that you should work on is pointing and not sickiling your foot on your turns but other than that it was very good(: keep it up

this isn't a bad dance, but its not good. You had absolutely no emotion and for lyrical, that is what makes it good. All you can do is kick and turn but you should work on jumps! My opinion.......

I agree with Pervosienesi. You have amazing pirouettes, fouettes, and extensions, however that can only take you so far. I was excited to see a dance to this but I did feel the choreography was comprised mostly of technical tricks rather than emotion. it lacked the soul I was looking for. The fouettes at the end were out of place and didn't seem 'right' in the music. To me, if twas just choreography to music. I was impressed by your technique as a dancer, but as an artist- I was unimpressed.

my dance team takes a lot of classes in the off-season with different styles of dance and many of us can execute those other styles quite well. in fact a lot of dance teams actually use some of those other styles in their routines

good to explore other forms of dance.. Modern ..try a little extra Ballet again maybe..tap ..jazz African..Tai Chi..not really dance but very worthwhile movement..really good for dancers to expand their horizons..keeps them from getting stuck in the same movements and ..general atmosphere..I hope she does..really special dancer.

@dancer4evera No its not. Its what bad competitions are about maybe. If you look up competitions at places like NYCDA you will see it is about dancing. not tricks.
it's not the strongest choreography, like yes you are flexible...but dance is so much more then that. it doesn't look like you've reached that point yet. keep working! try to add more moves instead of just flexibility showing.
You're a good technical dancer. You have very good piruettes and a nice balance between strength and flexibility, but the dance itself I didn't enjoy watching. I felt like it was forced, and that you were showing off. You see, I didn't see a continuing coreography here. I saw "watch me do this move" "now watch me do this trick". Dancing requires more than just good technique, technique gets you far, but not far enough. This is just my opinion though, hope you take it as constructive critique
@MeganSincerely I don't know why you have a really negative attitude, but take a chill pill. I'm not gonna start arguing with you on youtube, but believe me when I say I know a thing of two about dancing. I never denied this not being a good solo, I just think the dancer has everything it takes to make it even better.

You've got some really good skills there, but just being able to the the movement is all that being a dancer entails. There has to be emotion, and I couldn't see or feel any emotion in your dancing.
i agree with you.. i stopped the sound and listened to Goddess of Fire by Steven Reineke .... and believe me...it fits better than "almost lover". Almost lover is slow and full of sadness and despair.... goddess of fire...well ...nome parlent ^^
Besides the really amazing fouettes, big jumps and elasticity... a dancer also has to express and feel every move... coordinated with the song.
The song is slower than your movements and because you are jumping all the time from one place to another.... I can´t feel anything... but just get amazed by your elasticity and turns. Then go to a circus.

it's not the strongest choreography, like yes you are flexible...but dance is so much more then that. it doesn't look like you've reached that point yet. keep working! try to add more moves instead of just flexibility showing.

You're a good technical dancer. You have very good piruettes and a nice balance between strength and flexibility, but the dance itself I didn't enjoy watching. I felt like it was forced, and that you were showing off. You see, I didn't see a continuing coreography here. I saw "watch me do this move" "now watch me do this trick". Dancing requires more than just good technique, technique gets you far, but not far enough. This is just my opinion though, hope you take it as constructive critique

@MeganSincerely I don't know why you have a really negative attitude, but take a chill pill. I'm not gonna start arguing with you on youtube, but believe me when I say I know a thing of two about dancing. I never denied this not being a good solo, I just think the dancer has everything it takes to make it even better.

I absolutely love this.
You have incredible talent.
I'm writing a paper on Lyrical dance v.s. Hip hop.
A multimedia was required for the assignment as well.
I hope you don't mind that I used part of this dance
to show the emotion of lyrical versus the structure of hip hop.
I will give you credit at the end of course.

You've got some really good skills there, but just being able to the the movement is all that being a dancer entails. There has to be emotion, and I couldn't see or feel any emotion in your dancing.

It seems you were a gymnast by the way you do things... but it doesn´t mean you are also a dancer.
Besides the really amazing fouettes, big jumps and elasticity... a dancer also has to express and feel every move... coordinated with the song.
The song is slower than your movements and because you are jumping all the time from one place to another.... I can´t feel anything...
Feel the music, flow with it and stop making so many acrobatic things... that;s not dancing.

i agree with you.. i stopped the sound and listened to Goddess of Fire by Steven Reineke .... and believe me...it fits better than "almost lover". Almost lover is slow and full of sadness and despair.... goddess of fire...well ...nome parlent ^^
