I under that these receivers are stellar, but if they turn out to have good pro careers, Jerry might be biting himself on this one. But he HAS to get one next year and groom him, I don't want to have ungroomed young WR's starting when T.O. and Glenn retire or move to another team.

I heard that also, but with a receiver who's had two surgeries on knee ligaments, and that same receiver and our other starting receiver are topping the NFL age scale, I don't know where Jerry gets it. I under that these receivers are stellar, but if they turn out to have good pro careers, Jerry might be biting himself on this one. But he HAS to get one next year and groom him, I don't want to have ungroomed young WR's starting when T.O. and Glenn retire or move to another team.

very true, but look out for stanback.. jason garret has said he's almost impossible to cover in practice.. now that he's 100% percent, healthy, i'd look for him to contribute this season and slowly work his way up the chart and miles austin is our next terry glenn.. he's shown plenty of potential in case you didn't see the packers game.. he has that speed we need and are still grooming him.. pacman/jenkins/felix returning kicks should take some pressure off of him and allow him to grow

I think Cason will pan out and Weddle was a good pick for them two years ago in the draft. No doubt it will take some time to tell. I think Jenkins will be a decent CB but i really think Cason will be the true shutdown of the draft class he reminds me alot of the Raiders Nnamdi Asomugha.

Cason was a good pick, and remember hes not going to be a number 1 or 2 corner hes going to be the nickle corner, so he's not going to be on the field a lot. Also, Jenkins has character issues and the Chargers stay away from those.

I love how Jenkins just smoked Mike Mickens(Cincinnati) on that kickoff, and Mickens is a pretty good player himself. Jenkins is the real deal as a corner.

cromartie #1? Flowers ahead of Jenkins and Talib? I don't care what Cromartie did at the combine or his proday.. look at his production.. he got beat by receivers that will never play in the nfl... i dont care how athletic he is. though you have a case for flowers... he is close with talib.. but no where near jenkins. jenkins has been consistent his whole career. strong, fast, physical and smart. hes a good all around player.
