The Panthers will own the NFL in the next few years. When the defense catches up with that offense (and it will happen) they're gonna be one tough team to beat.
It is not a false start because of the Rulebook it says a sudden movement or goin to the line of scrimmage. Moving a arm slowly as if pointing is not a false start
Everybody that thinks that was a false start, stop playing so much fucking madden and realize that all players were stationary at the line of scrimmage, type of stance doesnt matter, Cam is sick and Panthers would be in playoff spot if T. Davis and J. Beason were not hurt...YEA. Watch out for em next few years. p.s. Fox and Tebow are butt pirates
@toughguy002 yeah.... NO. No one moves go look at a more clear version of it either people are standing ( stationary) arms down or arms on hips to add even more surprise to the play. You're wrong
@TyHiII really? really? you are going to be that stupid and one eyed. Why don't you go to a clearer version, say the one posted by Uno2k11 (Panthers trick play vs Texans 12-18-11 ) and scroll to 1.34 sec then you can see for yourself, idiot! It just amazes me how some people no matter what is in front of them will still see what they want to see.
On here. The ball was hinked to cam. Who then give it to #47 while acting like he just spin around him so then cam ran got the defense to bite his way and #47 took it left for a touchdown. And I don't care what anyone has to say about it that was a great trick play that worked very well
@31laxbro31 it was a great play because it fooled the refs, it was a false start. Take off the one eyed glasses and look at 80 and 77 at the bottom end of the line. 80 raises his arm and 77 sways on the spot just prior to the snap and according to the rules on the nfl website "All players of offensive team must be stationary at snap, except one back who may be in motion parallel to scrimmage line or backward." full disclosure i am unfortunately a bears supporter.
You're right. It was technically a false start, because 80 & 77 were not stationary prior to the snap.
That being said, it was a great play, and it would've been successful anyways (i.e. 80 & 77's slight movement did nothing to prevent the Texans from realizing what was going on or stopping the fullback). Nobody noticed the false start...not even the Texans' defenders....
@borderline1988 Number 80's move was so obvious that it fooled everyone, a trick move in a trick play. if 80 had flinched he probably would have been flagged. good luck to panthers if you can get away with it go for it!
How is that a false start? The ball was hiked to a different player from the center and Newton distracted him going the opposite direction. This inst even remotely close to a false start.
@harrypittmusic No, it was still hiked to Cam he handed the ball off before his little spin move. Still not a false start. The defense didn't move until after the snap.
@akalard dude look at 80 on the end of the line, he raises his arm at the 10 sec mark of this clip then the ball is snapped at the 11 sec mark. Everyone on the offense has to be for stationary prior to snap. the play fooled the texans and the refs.
@toughguy002 Then you need to take a close look at the 43 second mark. No. 80's arms come to rest mere moments before the ball is hiked and he remains motionless for a few seconds after the hike.
@akalard you need to read the rule book. doesn't matter what he does after the snap he could turn around and moon everyone. he has to remain motionless for a full second before the snap
NFL Rulebook: False Start:It is a False Start if the ball has been placed ready for play, and, prior to the snap, an offensive player who has assumed a set position charges or moves in such a way as to simulate the start of a play, or if an offensive player who is in motion makes a sudden movement toward the line of scrimmage. Any quick abrupt movement by a single offensive player, or by several offensive players in unison, which simulates the start of the snap, is a false start.
Can't wait until this team starts to get back on track

What a waste! Why run this play when up by two TDs? They'll never be able to use it again this season, they should have saved it for a game-saver.
