10 million is a HUUUUUUUUGE number, maybe 100,000 for five dollars or something. You know, something REASONABLE.
Also, I am the only person I know IRL who has seen this video or even knows of this game. YOU WERE MEANT TO PROMOTE IT IN EVERY AVENUE POSSIBLE NOT JUST HOPE THE VIDEO GOES VIRAL.

This game has a great potential.Good Gameplay but it could me much more better if the game had a high budget.But i understan it is an indie game.It is the best shooter RPG i have ever played Only Fallout 3 and new vegas can outmatch it.Thumps up if you agree.
Guess this idea didn't work. Maybe could have worked if they managed to get this message to more people. The number seems also to high for people to get aboard as it already suggests it probably won't work. Would have helped if it had been a better game, this fish is wiggling itself free from the line right after seeing once again a first person type of game in third person. Good joke, game will be released this week and you've got like 20k. 2nd - trailer was made poorly, I know it's indie game, but choppy animation, lack of some textures and some animations that looks not adequatly to sounds/shots (breathins scene, shotgun scene). 3rd - accent of this guy is pretty poor, I live in Poland and after first sentence I can say the guy is polish... Next time show us better "speaker"... ;)

The reason why they've created such a crazy amount is that they knew it was absolutely impossible. The fact is, they didn't expect to get to it in the first place. A few dozen thousand people would have a preorder for the game and say "whatever, I might as well buy the game now". Not a scam, but not entirely reputable either.
Well major thing is free advertisement for their unknown game. Its genius...largest PC forums in the world are talking about this deal. OCN has had this on their front page for 2 months now haha

I'm from Poland. I'm really not sure if I could talk such bullshit in front of the camera even if they pay me. Afterfall Insanity Demo is out. The game is shit. The only thing that is good is graphics. Characters are moving like stuffed puppets. Dubbing is below bad. Music is out of place. Fights are not entertaining.

@netcatnyan I don't see why paypal should have a problem with this, as when you pay the $1 you are not getting it back. As the main problem paypal has is refunds to the huge consumer base if something happens to the game. It's obviously going to be complete in the near future, and even if they don't get 10 million sales they're not refunding the money they're sending it straight to Amnesty International.So in short paypal won't have any more of a problem with this than buying a fin product.
From my estimation it will take 18 years to get 10 Million. They should have Made it Free and hope to get more people. People that buys games like COD or BF do because they are amazing games not because they are $60. Anyone can shell $60 for amazing games but not everyone will bother with a game even if its $1.

@elmalhermano They announced that a demo would release on the 15th of November for PC. Depending on how well it does, I see preorders might end up growing exponentially (Especially when more 'gaming sites' pop up telling people how great and worthwhile preorders can end up.) Of course, I'm still iffy whether the preorder for a dollar locks you into preordering 30-60$ with a dollar off if it doesn't reach the goal.
Ever heard a game sells 10 Million pre-orders? I dont even think Call of Duty or Batllefield etc. will sell that much. And the charity seems kinda shady to me.

It would be nice if you actually clairified what will happen if we preorder and the goal isn't met. Are we going to be forced to buy the game for full price? Can we get that dollar refunded if we don't think the game is worth the full price? What is the full price anyway? And c'mon, 10 million preorders on an indie game? Minecraft is pretty mainstream as far as indie games go, and they've only sold ~4 million.
There's two things that rubs me the wrong way about this... they don't say which charity the money will go to and require 10 million pre-orders for the 1-dollar price to apply.

the reason their doing this is because people will tell their friends saying " there's this company that will be selling their game for a dollar if they get 10 million pre orders" so even if they dont get 10 million pre orders (which they most likely will not get) people would have told other people about this crazy idea and they would have googled it and possibly pre ordered the game.

@netcatnyan I don't see why paypal should have a problem with this, as when you pay the $1 you are not getting it back. As the main problem paypal has is refunds to the huge consumer base if something happens to the game. It's obviously going to be complete in the near future, and even if they don't get 10 million sales they're not refunding the money they're sending it straight to Amnesty International.So in short paypal won't have any more of a problem with this than buying a fin product.

From my estimation it will take 18 years to get 10 Million. They should have Made it Free and hope to get more people. People that buys games like COD or BF do because they are amazing games not because they are $60. Anyone can shell $60 for amazing games but not everyone will bother with a game even if its $1.

@elmalhermano They announced that a demo would release on the 15th of November for PC. Depending on how well it does, I see preorders might end up growing exponentially (Especially when more 'gaming sites' pop up telling people how great and worthwhile preorders can end up.) Of course, I'm still iffy whether the preorder for a dollar locks you into preordering 30-60$ with a dollar off if it doesn't reach the goal.

It would be nice if you actually clairified what will happen if we preorder and the goal isn't met. Are we going to be forced to buy the game for full price? Can we get that dollar refunded if we don't think the game is worth the full price? What is the full price anyway? And c'mon, 10 million preorders on an indie game? Minecraft is pretty mainstream as far as indie games go, and they've only sold ~4 million.

There's two things that rubs me the wrong way about this... they don't say which charity the money will go to and require 10 million pre-orders for the 1-dollar price to apply.

Could be anything, even something we don't agree with - or not even a charity, theres no accountability, they will probably just say they gave it to charity and pocket it.

the reason their doing this is because people will tell their friends saying " there's this company that will be selling their game for a dollar if they get 10 million pre orders" so even if they dont get 10 million pre orders (which they most likely will not get) people would have told other people about this crazy idea and they would have googled it and possibly pre ordered the game.

Watch what happens when Nov 25 comes, no more news about the money you fools put in about going to charity, plus.. what charity?! they don't even specift, ill be convinced if I see a contract between this "charity" they speak of.
The way I see it, most of you are saying .."Oh well its just a dollar, not a huge loss" that's the kind of reaction they want from people. especially on a large scale... they made over 15k on people with that attitude. ill keep mine.

If you look at humble indie bundles and who actually donates the most, it's all other indie devs helping each other out. Plus the guy said they were putting it up for download so... For all idiots. Yes we understand that not even the most high profile game reach 10 million which is why they are aiming for something truly special. And if they dont, which is very highly likely, they will be donating ALL, read it again, ALL proceeds to the charity (not sure how they're gonna make a profit, but its still a very selfless and generous act).
They're gamers, we're gamers. They make games because we love to play them, not for the money or for the attention.

Giving all preorders to charity doesn't change anything. The point stands: this $1-shit is just a pathetic move to get attension in hope that some of the people that gave them $1 will later buy their game for full price. That is almost Activisonly greedy and pathetic.
