It's actually Peter singing to a track that has Gary Barlows vocals, its been digitally altered., its not purely Kays voice at all. Yes they did clips showing Peter "singing" it in the studio but thats the "magic" of television, and the reason why they cut back to a clip of Gary saying he couldnt believe how great Kay was singing ... cos he wasnt ... much. Listen carefully, u can hear barlow all over it!

Just to let you know this is not peter kay singing. he is miming. Gary Barlow from Take That helped write the song and sung it. He put on a women's voice so it suited Peter as Geraldine. But I agree brilliant song.

There was a program on UK TV last night about this and Peter's other musical ventures (Comic Relief, the Christmas follow up to this) and we saw him singing/recording it in the studio ... and Gary even commented that Peter has a great voice.

I didn't know Gary wrote it though until last night. It makes sense though - excellent songwriting craft in it even if it is all a bit tongue in cheek.
