  • 2 STROKES FUN FASTER THAN 4!

  • Johnny,

Since you're not selling any of your motors, can you at least advise me as to which is the better engine...

the Mark 25 or the Mark 28.

I have a chance to buy either one both 1957 or 1958;s

    thanks for you help

also, do you know of anyone in the kawartha area who can service these engines?

  • would love to buy one of those. is that a 22 or 25 hp?

  • Love the distinctive sound of a Mercury outboard. Thanks for posting this great video!

  • man i love the sound of old 2-stroke outboards!

  • @kddcc

It won`t be long before they don`t exist

  • @johnnycgc 2009 you are deffinatly right my friend...no company makes 2strokes in the protable range. its realy sad kinda...

  • @johnnycgc

The best sounds are from my KG9 and KF7 which you no doubt have seen on my videos.Unfortunately, nothing like that now!

  • @johnnycgc

Are they going to order them destroyed?

  • @johnnycgc they should be around for along time....maybe 15 years min?

  • wow

  • i'm fortunate to have that same engine, nice.maybe i should restore it like you did

  • Absolutly beautiful brings back memories.

  • What a beautiful little beast...

  • Awesome, good job and very cool outboard

  • Nice

  • is that a naden boat?

  • Yes, a 16 ft model, used in several other of my videos including running 2 KG9 Thunderbolts

  • nadens arent much to look at but dam theyre tough

  • how do you like that naden? i was thinking about purchasing the 14 foot model fisherman and throw a 20 hp merc on the back... are they nice boats? not too bouncy?

  • Great boat. No flexing in rough water which it handles very well.

  • Where did you manage to find the parts for this?

  • Ebay, Antique Outboard website, Mercury Marine, local bearing and seal vendors.

  • Sweet '56 Merc, man the cool old Mercs were loud and hauled ass!

  • Sweet motor!

  • Thanks! Great stuff.

    Jeff

  • Nice
