  • I saw this film last Christmas on TV. It's absolutely awful. A travesty. The whole thing is a ripoff of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and it's just a mess. There's hardly any fun or excitement (the trailer just includes the best parts) and the main plotline is as dull as dishwater; the shop owner sells the shop, then dies or something - how depressing. It's incredibly boring, heartless, unfocused, and pretentious. The film just falls flat, failing to have a proper story or reason to exist.

  • Natalie Portman was so cute in this movie ^_^

  • There is a wealth of sinister symbolism in this film.Do,nt be decieved. Be aware of what you are watching and the hidden message encoded in it.Most Hollywood films carry a lot of suggestive content and hidden images .And they are not there to promote positivity despite whatever they claim as their cover story. They carry on promoting secularism and pagan values right under our very noses. Dont get me wrong i believe in the separation of church and state. There is a limit.

  • Natalie Portman is super HOT!!!

  • Dustin Hoffman (who plays Magorium) would make an excellent actor for Einstein

  • The sock monkey's nearly made me cry. everytime i saw one at target, i nearly had to get one. lol. i did. ;)

  • @RollerCoasterPOVs123 Umm that doesn't make sense....its a fantasy movie, ANYTHING is possible....it's the beauty of the genre.

  • CAN WE BE FRIENDS ?

  • this movie isn't that bad. i love it actually. it taught me lessons that to see or have something u desire, u must learn to believe it in for it to work. u can apply it on anything. plus, its very funny and touching too

  • your spelling and grammar is the friken crapest ver.

  • i loved this movie.....at times it got my tears flowing....i thought it was touching

  • I'm not sure what the problem is in this story.

The old guy is leaving and giving the store to his loyal, good protege. Umm. How is this bad?

  • @ProserpinaFC well the store doesn't like the idea of him leaving so it kinda stops working and goes all dull...its verrry fictional

  • stupid zebra lol xD

  • I rented this DVD thinking it would be like watching the magical, original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

...but this movie was boring and kind of stupid.

  • you obviously haven't seen the mist. or maybe you don't have eyes.

  • @oliviawilber lol My entire family went to the theaters anticipating a spectacular performance by Hoffman and Portman......what a disappointment!! I felt bad for these incredible actors. The plot dragged and the dialogue was very unrealistic. My children even asked me to leave the theatre during the movie!!! I respect whatever opinion of the movie you have so please don't disrespect mine!

  • A magic toy store is not supposed to be realistic. Duh.

I haven't seen this film, I would definitely go see it.

  • My math teacher's cousin owns the company that made this. Walden Media.

  • Does anybody have the scene where kermit the Frog appears?

  • love this movie

  • Some of the stuff in that did not happen in the movie. The giant ball was red. Also the accountant was got held onto by stuffed animals.

  • i havent seen the movie but i would love to :)

  • I LOVED this movie. It was so cute.

  • Woah......they totally edited stuff..like th color of th big ball and th person she's talking to when she's tryin to get th bouncy balls out. Funny i noticed that...GREAT MOVIE if u haven't seen it! Natalie Portman is da bomb!^^

  • ekateri28

    wtf?

could you be any more judgemental

everyone has there own opinions and stuff

    but jeez

    calm down a bit.

this isnt a argument needing to be won.

  • wats the name of the song at 1:53????

  • it's magic by the fenders

  • Oh Oh its Magic - Pilot

  • This is a pretty good movie. However, Natalie Portman should've won an award for "Worst Hairdo". I couldn't get over how bad her hair looked in this movie. I know she had just finished "V for Vendetta" prior to shooting this but they could've given her some extensions or something.

  • I liked her hair, she couldn't have possibly looked cuter.

  • I'm 17 and watched the movie, really really good. Makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside.

It's not a kids movie like Transformers, the plot is very very well made, and any one of all ages will love it :)

  • Cute film, but notice how great Dustin Hoffman is. Everyone else SUCKS (especially Natalie "I am a Jewish Princess ad the world owes me" Portman) so he carried the film.

  • I saw this movie a while ago. I didn't think it would be as good as it was.

It. Was. Amazing. I'm telling you.

  • i loved it its amazing and sad

  • JASON BATEMAN in place of Heath Ledger??? How COULD they????

  • Im 14 and i've seen alot of good movies, but that was the best movie. It made me feel, so much better. like a child. I LOVE this movie. haha so does George Clooney

  • hihihi... stupid zebra...

  • alguien sabe si saldrá en méxico esta y para cuando?

  • I swear, the little boy in the movie must be the reincarnation of the kid who played in the neverending story. Anyway, I'm glad I didn't listen to all the cynics, since I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. It was sweet, funny, imaginative and a bit surrealistic. No, it's not the best movie in the world, but so what ? It's a beautiful story.

  • This movie isnt good, it's a child's movie.

I promise that adults would not like this.

So if you are one, I recommend something else.

Coverfield was amazing. I guarantee you will find it fantastic!

  • seen cloverfield, naaaaa, not that good, but it was good at parts.

  • I enjoyed it, so get over yourself

  • I'm almost 30, hold various college degrees, and I love this movie. It's now in my top 5 favorites of all time.

I guess I must not be an adult...or perhaps you're not allowing yourself to be a kid?

  • It's "I'm" not "Im" or "im". Also, you cannot use "then" as a comparative; it's "than." So the sentence would be, "I'm willing to bet I'm 8x smarter THAN you." (I'm seriously beginning to doubt the validity of that statement...snicker.) "Then" is related to time. And while WE'RE at it (not were) I cannot compare cock size as I'm female, unless you meant to compare some kind of metaphorical "success" cock, you know because you're wayyyy more successful than me.

  • Uh, no need to show off degrees or achievements here. Just comment on the damn film, people. Jeez.

  • croatiantime, you really don't know anything about what it means to be a good actor. If you think Natalie is "pure, honest and dear" then Julia Roberts is a multiple personality. Have you seen Sybil? The girl "Sybil" with 13 different personalities played by one of America's highly esteemed 2 time Oscar winner, Sally Fields??) Yeah...I arrest my case.

  • Sigh...the comment I made was meant to illustrate that you don't have to be a kid to enjoy the movie. As per "JamesWorldStudios" original comment where he said. "This movie isnt good, it's a child's movie. I promise that adults would not like this." The movie is great, it's charming, and heartfelt. So despite all these 'adult' characteristics of mine I still enjoyed the film. The End.

  • I understood that comment you made b4 wisdom. I don't think people know how to read into things anymore.

  • I took my little brother to see it and we both cried. It was extremely emotional especially the last scene between Mr. Magorium and Mahoney.
