@darkalex211 please get your facts straight. This mod covers the entirety of East Asia, not only Japan; in fact, the video you just saw was supposed to be an intro to the Song Dynasty faction. The armor and technology is very different in many respects. Though I'm sure you didn't mean anything in a bad way, by assuming this was a Japanese mod, you were, in effect, saying that all Asians looked alike. It's like saying Israelis and Egyptians are the same people.

You need to get a copy of Medieval 2 Total war to able to play this, theres other mods like this for free, this is just one great mod. Its well worth buying Total war games.

I always wanted to play Total War China. I do wonder, will you guys make a Fire Lancer unit like in Rise of Nations? It was a kinda of psudo-rocket that basicly was a self-propelled flaming spear that could hit futher then anything hand thrown. Well I can't explain it but I see that CA have screwed the modding community by making Empire and Napoleon virtually unmoddable in this way just so CA can release their 'horse armor' as DLC. Bad decision and means that we can never get the AI or historical accuracy improved like it has been done for Rome and Medieval 2.

The Mongols do not charge frontally like that, and certainly not on foot.

I suppose it could be a cool 'Song Dynasty faction trailer', but I hope the game is balanced. The Mongols should have very good horse archers.

They've been making this mod very historically accurate, you should see the song dynasty info on TWCenter, its freaking amazing. They've put so much effort into this mod and I seriously can't wait to play this game... will be one of the best mods, with Stainless Steel and Third Age. ;)
