A very few of the games to c-64 I remember are Pitfall 2 ,H.E.R.O (cavegame) and Hercules similar to Jet set willy and Manic miner 4049. Tere must been a lot more since c-64 must have had the most creative games and makers like ever.
I never did figure out the animal that gets rescued. Was it suposed to be a coyote? Bad thing about the C64 was the load time....some games you could go have a beer before it loaded lol!!! I knew a person that had a device that either overclocked the system or was extra memory that cut the load time in half!!! It was called JetLoad, it plugged in to the left- back of the C64. Funny thing it is, I googled it & there is no information about it, but if you google c64 fast loader wiki comes back.
@tribeisone It was Quickclaw - the cowardly lion! :-) I remember getting everything and unlocking the secret levels and then getting my butt kicked by rabid bats and thought there wasn't a real ending to this! (and that after a few hours as a kid my folks aways made me shut it off....no save feature back in the days!
Just realized watching this that the c64 didn't have the bonus levels. Watch the Atari 5200 (and possibly other ports) to see this. Crazy hard enemies after all that work!
@Quartrez: Even so, if you think an old game from 1984 represents the pinnacle of C64 graphical wizardry, then there's a LOT you don't know about the machine. Check out vids of games like IK+, Cybernoid, Turrican, The Last Ninja, Armalyte, Mayhem in Monsterland, Creatures and Bangkok Knights and you'll get an idea of what I mean. Those are later era games.
There is a game call pitfall 3 aka
Orpheus in the Underworld [1989]. Can't find a single video on the internet or youtube of it. Found just a few screenshots.

DAMN The graphics are very good for a Commodore 64 !
Quartrez 1 year ago
@Quartrez: Are you serious? These graphics are pretty poor by C64 standards.
inphanta 9 months ago
@inphanta Well, they're better than the games I have on C64 anyway :/
Quartrez 9 months ago
@Quartrez: Damn, you must have some crusty old games then!

@inphanta I think what I meant by "graphics" is the attention to details. The waterfall and such. Not the resolution or anything.
