  • Très bon livre!!!!

  • Just finished the book... excellent.

  • Seriously one of the greatest. Tell me what other players at that size ( 5'6 160lbs ) that were as effective. A first ballot Hall of famer in my books.

  • He lived down the street from me in Calgary. He rose above it all and scored!!

  • U.K's Elite league Belfast giant legend rite there

  • Theo was a helluva player.

  • Ohhh double soulpatch ...oh my god ....double soulpatch ..double soulpatch all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very good book .

  • WATCH THIS VIDEO CALLED, paulhiv1, THANKS. MERCI.

  • i got his book for Christmas too, and i finished it this morning. its AMAZING! i love Theo.

  • I got this book for Christmas and finished it within 2 days. It was an amazing read. Total respect for the man.

  • AMAZING BOOK!!!!! Gave me shivers at times, I'm not even done but ya its a heavy read.

  • GREAT BOOK

  • PocketHercules99: So you, too? Obviously this guy has a following, but you all of you feel as sorry for yourselves as he does? On a tortured planet like this one, don't you think his tale of persecution is a little much?

  • Anyway, you know what they said about Hercules? Check out those old Steve Reeves movies.

  • do you mean chris reeves?

  • I meant Steve Reeves, the famous body builder . . .

  • never heard of him, probably not as famous as theo fleury

  • Okay, i know he'd need to pump iron in the

weight lifting, but imagine if George Michael played Hercules. Know what I mean? Little

    red book . . . I don't know . . . maybe you and I

just have different definitions of "straight."

Anyway, I heard him say he "knew he was a good person." Obviously, modesty is not his strong suit. On a planet as tortured as this one, witless vanity of that order sounds sickening enough to me.

  • you're confusing, did someone say theo fleury would make a good hercules?

what has the little red book got to do with anything?

who said anything about sexual orientation? (are you saying that being molested by a man means you're gay? )

is it really that immodest to claim to be a good person?

  • Well, that's another discussion, but the mere idea that one has been molested by a man or allowed himself to be molested by a man

in the hopes of advancing a career is hardly an argument in itself for self-praise. .

  • so you're saying he purposefully got molested in order to further his career? interesting take on things.

  • Maybe this point could be argued persuasively, but it's not what I said.

  • please, enlighten me by clarifying then.

take your pick of which question you'd like to actually answer.

  • I tried to be reasonable and meet you half way.

  • You seem obsessed with Theoren Fleury. I simply suggested to you that, as I see it, good people are hardly ubiquitous, or even common (thought about the state of the earth lately and the suffering of the animals you probably eat?) and that I don't necessarily believe that 16, 17, l8, or l9 year old males

are able to respond to molestation without having some ambivalent tendencies. Then, again, I hardly know who this guy is. Cont'd . . .

  • i'm really not that interested in theo, i just keep seeing your responses and feel interested enough in this curious dialogue to continue participating.

i think the position of power that his coach had goes a long way in explaining why it happened. Often times physical strength doesn't factor into the relationship (take for example battered husbands), when someone feels helpless it doesn't matter how strong they are (and theo wasn't a big kid either, even now as a grown man he's only 5'6", so

  • In fact, I hardly know who this guy is. It was only his unpleasant accent that caught my attention, in the first place. Is he a good vegetarian? Did he brawl with his coach?

From what I remember of that age (and life wasn't easy for me, either, in those days) I would have fought to the finish to resist his sick advances. If he did, hats off to him. If not, so what? That hardly makes him guilty of initiating this garbage. I'm just saying,

straight? Really? Maybe, what do I know...

    Please

    D

  • him being overpowered isn't far-fetched either)

i have no idea if he brawled with his coach, i somewhat doubt it though, since his coach would have been one of his promoters to the nhl if anyone asked about him, and kids who cause trouble in junior tend to be viewed with suspicion when the draft happens.

as for the suffering of animals, i doubt he's a vegetarian, but who knows, not really an issue as far as i'm concerned.

but now that you've explained yourself mostly, i think i'll leave it there

  • From what I've heard, the hold Graham James had on Theo was very psychological. For example he told the low class Theo that he could only make it to the NHL by "cooperating" with the coach. It's understandable a young teen in Fleury's position would believe it.

  • There are far more sadder things to think about on this planet than Theoren Fleury's tale of woe. As I see it, it would be hard to think of many hard luck stories less worthy of widespread attention than his . . . which is not to deny that his coach was, and is, a degenerate, and should have given ten years on the chain gang, at least. As for your question, however, I think the answer depends on specific nature

    of the acts implied. Cont'd . . . I

  • If a sexually mature male can be consciously stimulated by another male (get wood, orgasm, call it what you will), isn't that pretty well what bisexuality is all about? A young teen is 13, 14, 15, arguably early, very early 16, but 16, 17, l8 . . . I don't think so. I think that then the denial of some degree of bisexuality in a responsive young man seems ar-fetched, no matter how ambitious he might be. Anyway, I'm sure that Fleury (his wretched accent be damned) is a lady's man only today.

  • This sounds like voodoo to me. Unless you're suggesting that the cooperation you mention never went beyond a demand for Monica Lewinsky like favors, you need to pose a

offer a more plausible explanation than this.

    Wood is wood, not voodoo.

  • or rocket science

  • You tell me. I'd like to know your opinion . . . but please realize that I have little appetite for persecution complexes, especially in people---ordinary people, for that matter---who have no qualms about the hell they lavish on animals, for dining pleasure, and all manner of other frivolous reasons.

have no qualms about participating no qhave no qualms about lavish hell on animals.

  • since there's no point in arguing about animal suffering, and i finally get your point.(i'm obviously not a good vegetarian and not interested in arguing about it since i can guarantee we won't agree on that)

    have a good one tws

    -Ross

  • cont'd . . . besides many other stories of animal persecution on a grand scale.

But at least, you've dealt with me very reasonably with respect to this story, and for that, thanks also, rosskoful.

  • Age plays an important factor in your question. Anyway, what's wrong with being gay?

  • i meant being molested by a man as a child. and i never said anything was wrong with being gay, it just seems strange to declare someone to be gay when they have children and date women.

and i still fail to see what you mean by the little red book. is there some mention of chinese politics in this video that i missed?

  • OK, nice. At least understand my reservations about his self-assessment. Over l6 billion----billion, that is farm animals killed last in America alone, not including fish (check FDA statistics)---is a lot of suffering, throat cutting and decapitation, defecation, methane, waste of cropland, water, antibiotics, gas . . the story of our gastrointestinal war on the earth and the animals and the oceans (wow, the oceans!) is simply only story, as I see it, that really matters on this planet . . .

  • Oh, go screw...

  • Pull yourself together, turd, the man of your dreams will come along one of these days.

  • PocketHercules99

Maybe so, but it sounds wretched. They dig

a New York accent much more.

  • God, this guy has a vile Canadian accent. Who is he!

  • Thats a hockey players accent its the best in the world!

    Girls dig it everywhere

  • @tonywsmith2 What do you mean who is he? Watch the video. Watch the bio!

  • I'm from Russell too~! His dad goes to my church!

  • Who's Russell? He never mentioned him.

  • its a place :)

  • Sorry, I thought it might just have been another name out of his phone book.

  • Make that "little red book" . . . you know.

  • Trying to get away from him, too? I guess there were more guys than he he would have led us to believe!
