I have one hes 5 years old. No hump though. when he hit 5 he calmed down a bit. Im trying to breed him with my female flowerhorn but all he does is chase her around. Shes holding eggs got her breeding stripes on. Its been 4 days now. I think I will take the flowerhorn out.

Nope just the 2. I took my other 2 flower horns I have for about 2 years and a 40 gallon tank. They are unable to breed also. Sucks. Just waiting for the red d and FlowerHorn to breed. Shes ok Not stressed at all. Eating as usual but not as much.

the blood parrot is a male...the red devil is female. if the red devil was male he would have a prominent lump on his forehead.. the fry will be flower horn cichlids..i'm pretty sure of that.GOOD LUCK!!!

@faylonglis it was fist thought that because parrotfish were cross breed between a ram and jack dempsey (both cichlids types) that parrotfish could not breed, but now there known to breed with lots of different types of cichlids, but ive yet to hear of a parrot fish breeding with another parrot fish, maybe 2fry of parrot fish with another cichlid well be the fist parrot fish to breed together? interesting though...

yeah,she use to try breed with a male parrot,but i dont think he could fetilise the eggs,so he died and we got the red devils and now shes babies after abot 7yrs of trying LOL
