We lost Guam, the Philippines, Wake Island, we spent those two years preparing California for a LAND INVASION.
You approach your FDR theory from the perspective that an American victory was Inevitable.
From 1941-1943 however, it wasn't, we were in act on the brink of defeat, and that's why it fails.
Only an outspoken few knew of the true potential of the aircraft carrier in early 1940s, FDR sure didn't, he was just as taken by the big battleships as the Navy itself was at the time. It was not UNTIL the Japanese attacked, that the reality of what those ships meant became clear to everyone.

I do not know how any sane person can look to what has happened and say "that's all coincidence." I have friends in Afghanistan on tour of duty, they will be the first to tell you why our military is there. Pipeline and Poppies for drugs.

2. The FAA DID get the warnings, I just finished watching an interiview of them testifying that fact, the people whom didn't were ATC, Air Traffic Control.
3. Military Exercises try to account for everything.
4. The interceptions had Aircraft with their Transponders on, they weren't trying to hide where they were, the 9/11 Hijackers turned off their transponders, they WERE hiding, and they succeded.
Furthermore, in each case on 9/11, the Military was not kept informed in time either as the FAA people tried to come to terms as to what was occuring.
5. The Taliban had been harboring Bin laden for years, and we knew it for years, in 1998 Clinton tried to shoot him with cruise missiles.
5. Continueing, Bin Laden was already on our most wanted list, in fact, he's on our most wanted list NOW, in NO connection to 9/11, but in his backing of the 1993 bombings, the bombings of the African Embassys, and the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole.
We found other connections betweeen the Taliban and Al Queida, so we DID have justification, despite what you say.
5 (cont.) Still, that's largely academic, the plan in place was not a "full scale invasion", but likely the same attempt to capture Osama Bin Laden, whom we had recently been able to track again at the time thanks to the then newly developed Predator Drone.
6. We DID NOT know where the planes were going, we could only guess at their potential targets, note that we told the WHITE HOUSE staff to evacuate, why would the Vice President advise such a thing if he knew it wouldn't hit there?
7. And no, the forensics of United 93 doesn't show it was shot down, the black box doesn't show it was shot down, no tracking data or ATC controller witnessed it being shot down, there was no Aircraft in the area to shoot it down.
IN FACT there is a recording a Military Controller asking the FAA "Where is Flight 93"? "Oh it went down" "oh, where did it land?" "It didn't land, it- " "Oh".
No military involvement.
8. Bin Laden admitted almost immeadtly after in a press release what he did.
There are no charges against him, as the argument is flawed.
Without even trying, and going pretty much off the top of my head, I've poked gaping holes in it all, this entire argument only shows your lack of grasp of policies set by the military, the government, the intelligence community, and the act widely known in politics as "Covering our asses when we screw up". The 9/11 Commission ADMITED that, the Government SCREWED UP, THAT was their determination, not some damn "conspiracy".
When you rely on info "off the top of your head" and from a CBS documentary produced to "cover the officials asses when they screw up", it's easy to deny everything. But when you have to back up your "facts" with sourced information:
1. From the 1998 Congressional Record - Unocal spokesman says the pipeline deal cannot go through until the Taliban are removed from power in Afghanistan.
2. NY Times, "9/11 Report Cites Many Warnings About Hijackings". Why did FAA not act on these warnings?
3. The military exercises have been verified yet they were omitted from the 9/11 Commission report and officials refuse to disclose WHO scheduled them.
4. Turning off the transponder does not make the plane invisible to radar, and does not explain why S.O.P. were not followed by officials.
5. The FBI admits they have "no hard evidence" connecting bin Laden to 9/11. The NSPD-9 plans called for military options against Taliban without justification. You have any documents saying otherwise?
6. They were tracking the flight, (without a transponder), closing in on the Pentagon, so what was Cheney's order? Why did the Commission omit this testimony instead of asking Cheney to explain it?
7.Google -"How Did United Flight 93 Crash?" and you'll see what you are missing.
8. Right after the attack bin Laden denied responsibility. The videos of bin Laden's confessions have not been submitted for scientific verification, to prove they are not forgeries, and obtain an indictment for 9/11.
6. Cheney's order was to shoot it down, the question is NOT what the order was, its WHO GAVE IT. Constitutionally, it has to be the PRESIDENT whom gives that order, really, I don't give a damn if he did or not. We needed someone to make a judgement call, whether it was the VP or some 1-Star in the field, I'm okay with it, and we should fix the rules to allow it, though I believe we've done so already.

That's academic, again, we've already established the connection of Bin Laden and his organiztion to other aimed attacks on Americans, and the fact of the matter is the CIA, who neither confirms nor denies it, likely has the evidence we need to confirm his involvement with 9/11, none the least withstanding, the testimony of one Khalid Shaikh Mohammed. We'll probably be getting something out of Mullah Baradar as well.
Actually, the bigger question is why Cheney LIED about what time he entered the PEOC. He was in the 'driver's seat' with plenty of time to protect the Pentagon but he did nothing and then LIED and claimed he wasn't in the PEOC in time to do anything.
"Driver seat"?, the Vice-president has no command authority over any part of the armed forces, hell, Harry Truman as VP wasn't even allowed in the War Room in WWII.

You misquote Mineta's testimony about what happened in the bunker. The exchange with Hamilton indicated that the order told in the Mineta recollection was a shoot-down order by Bush:
"We had that order given, I think it was by the President, that authorized the shooting down of commercial aircraft that were suspected to be controlled by terrorists. Were you there when that order was given?"
And later Mineta states that he "subsequently" found out what the order was.
Mineta still stands by his testimony that he was referring to Flight 77 nearing the Pentagon when Cheney issued his "of course the order still stands" quote. This was before the Pentagon was hit. He has clarified this many times.
The 9/11 commission and the media continue misquoting Mineta saying it was in reference to Flight 93.
Yet Cheney's unsworn interview testimony is still contradicted by Mineta, Clark, NORAD, NEADS, and NMCC. Shouldn't he have given his testimony under oath?

You approach your FDR theory from the perspective that an American victory was Inevitable.
From 1941-1943 however, it wasn't, we were in act on the brink of defeat, and that's why it fails.
Only an outspoken few knew of the true potential of the aircraft carrier in early 1940s, FDR sure didn't, he was just as taken by the big battleships as the Navy itself was at the time. It was not UNTIL the Japanese attacked, that the reality of what those ships meant became clear to everyone.

1. The taliban wanted the Pipeline, we pulled the plug, we thought they would end the depotism which had lasted for 7 years at the time in Afghanistan, the lawlessness and constant killing, but when we found they were actually encouraging that behavior we pulled out, and backed off.

When you rely on info "off the top of your head" and from a CBS documentary produced to "cover the officials asses when they screw up", it's easy to deny everything. But when you have to back up your "facts" with sourced information:
1. From the 1998 Congressional Record - Unocal spokesman says the pipeline deal cannot go through until the Taliban are removed from power in Afghanistan.
2. NY Times, "9/11 Report Cites Many Warnings About Hijackings". Why did FAA not act on these warnings?

4. Turning off the transponder does not make the plane invisible to radar, and does not explain why S.O.P. were not followed by officials.

6. Cheney's order was to shoot it down, the question is NOT what the order was, its WHO GAVE IT. Constitutionally, it has to be the PRESIDENT whom gives that order, really, I don't give a damn if he did or not. We needed someone to make a judgement call, whether it was the VP or some 1-Star in the field, I'm okay with it, and we should fix the rules to allow it, though I believe we've done so already.

"Driver seat"?, the Vice-president has no command authority over any part of the armed forces, hell, Harry Truman as VP wasn't even allowed in the War Room in WWII.
If you wish to complain about a system, or the individuals within, it pays to actually understand the hierarchy.
The people of NORAD were already set to work, they only thing they lacked was shoot-down authorization from the president, but they were prepared to get that after-the-fact. It almost became the case with 93.

The Military works in cycles, things are automatically planned out to happen on certain dates, like, say, TOURS OF DUTY, the service life of a vehicle before a mandatory service period, the service life of a weapon system, etc.

The only requirement to be an Israeli citizen is to be Jewish, when it comes to that they aren't picky.
Our ambassadors many times have duel citizenship, because they many times are also Jewish, and we think that's a good idea that they are, as it keeps mutual respect at the negotiation table.

Trillions did not go missing, they became mismanaged under the hodge-podge accounting system the Finance Corps and the rest of the DoD uses.
It was still around, they just couldn't readily account for it, and the problem had existed for YEARS, BEFORE Zakheim even took his position of Undersecretary of Defense and Comptroller.
Under his watch, they managed to get a handle on two-thirds of that 2.6 trillion, and today over 90% has been accounted for.

Correct, which is why teh FBI charged him with the other events we PROVED he's connected to, the Embassy Bombings, the funding of other terrorists including the 1993 bombings of the WTC towers, and the attack on the U.S.S. What is required, is a complete independent investigation of 9/11, with full subpoena power. If Cheney and other officials were put on the witness stand and subjected to intense questioning and cross examination, then we have a chance of finding out the identities of everyone responsible for, and having prior knowledge of those attacks. I have studied 9/11 for over 6 years. I assure you that I do question if I am wrong, and have many debates with people who try to prove me wrong. But I would quit if I was not able to back up every claim I make with empirical evidence.
I am an independent who supports American democracy. But I stand against corruption especially when American lives and liberties are at stake. I have friends fighting over there who are risking their lives based on lies. They deserve the truth and so do you!

Instead, I believe that they believed that they had enough motive and opportunity, through a wide and diverse number of interests, possibly even including the audit of the trillions of dollars missing from the Pentagon's coffers, as well as oil and gas pipeline deals, coupled with the loss of revenue from the opium and heroin trade, that it was the right time to make their move.

Far better and more factual than Loose Change, tighter than anything by Alex Jones. Dr. Chossudovsky discusses US-Euro-ME geopolitics w a lot of depth, missed mentioning Bredero-Shaw and HL Price specifically. There is so much BS out there and in here, so to speak, that one must be thorough in one's research. We are fed so much BS from day 1, that we also have to question and test everyone we have ever been taught. For consistency context, possibility, and it is not for those who want to be totally stable in their beliefs, they too much change as the evidence fits together.
But one may never know for sure on some things, and it based on truths, untruths, and unproven. Search for truth is the only key.

You misquote Mineta's testimony about what happened in the bunker. The exchange with Hamilton indicated that the order told in the Mineta recollection was a shoot-down order by Bush:
"We had that order given, I think it was by the President, that authorized the shooting down of commercial aircraft that were suspected to be controlled by terrorists. Were you there when that order was given?"
And later Mineta states that he "subsequently" found out what the order was.

Mineta still stands by his testimony that he was referring to Flight 77 nearing the Pentagon when Cheney issued his "of course the order still stands" quote. This was before the Pentagon was hit. He has clarified this many times.
The 9/11 commission and the media continue misquoting Mineta saying it was in reference to Flight 93.
Yet Cheney's unsworn interview testimony is still contradicted by Mineta, Clark, NORAD, NEADS, and NMCC. Shouldn't he have given his testimony under oath?
