I agree with what some have said, it's a pretty hard game. But that's a good thing cause it really makes you think and plan your assault, be careful not to get noticed too early, stay low...makes you think on your feet which makes it more challenging.

The atmosphere is pure gold, especially in the second half/last third of the game. You're on the edge of your seat the whole time. Great stuff.

I guess its just me, but i can't stand this game. I'm not the best at every games, but i don't suck at any game. I can't do anything in this game without getting killed. I have the difficulty down all the way and i still die in only a few hits. I can play any other FPS on a hard setting and do much better than i can on Far Cry with low difficulty. I have no idea why.

@ZombieSniper64 A troll would say: Because your suck. A good person like me will say that I also have trouble with this game. I think it looks good but plays best on PC. But I do feel that it is a solid game and when your get through the first few stealth sections it should get better. Specifically you really want to headshot. You also want to really make sure your not running up trying to melee (as it doesn't work or happen). But if you play it stealthily it should work out better for you.

@stufaos I don't do that in the game. I try to be sneaky, even though i would rather run through them and take them all at once. but all it takes is 1 person to see me, than everyone is after me. When you have to spend most of your time hiding, having a gun is kind of pointless

This game is one of the most over rated first person shooters ever made. The AI is terrible, but cheap. They know exactly where you are through a wall, you can die many one shot kills on easy mode, there is no where to fucking take cover even though you fucking need it!

@MrJugoG4life It is so realistic for the AI to not spot you running right in front of them and then next time spotting you when you are perfectly hidden from a mile away. It is extremely realistic for the AI to SEE YOU AND SHOOT YOU THROUGH FUCKING WALLS! I am all for improvising and difficulty, but when I am dying because the game is unfair, it isn't right.

If you've played hl1?, did you notice it was a mix? It had bossfights, normal fps combat, puzzles and a sense of mystery which was brilliant back in its time, sure every game nowadays has all these, but hl1 set that bar. Haven't tried hl2, but I've played cs:s which uses its engine.

i just got this game off steam and i am really enjoying it but damn is it hard as fuck...maybe its just me that sucks ass but i die quite a bit even if im really careful but completing a level is satisfying...you wanna know how hard it is play on easy and it feels like your playing on hard...i only have two complaints about the game one is it is to hard at times and two i did run into two glitches where i fell through the map but other then that its a really solid and fun game

I loved the original Far Cry, but Crysis was a step-down for me. Looks fantastic, far beyond its time of course, but gameplay is a mixed bag there. There are quirks to Far Cry, but what made it so thrilling and memorable for me was the AI challenge. You never know when one will pop into your view and kill you within seconds.

got it played it maxed out graphics up to level 7 or so, but a few unforgiveable flaws:

One: story dosent't intrigue, motivate, or make it clear a lot of the time, a sandbox feel, didnt like

two: weapons handle badly, feel puny, and the pistol (desert eagle) packs more punch than the m16 for instance,and i dont just mean in terms of power, accuracy also that dosent feel right.

deeply disappointing even tho i own it, havent felt want to play in months, 5/10.

I find that crysis is more fun in terms of gameplay.

i do know far cry was released on the CryEngine in 2004 and Crysis was release on the CryEngine 2 in 2007 but i believe the driving, shooting, weapons, ragdoll effects and features of the game such as freefalling in the air and using a parachute.

but overall i do like far cry and crysis.
