What are all those white bubbles on the bottom of the fish tank? Are those eggs?

hey i have a question for you. when your male was making a bubble nest, did you leave your tank light on all the time until they spawned or you let them sleep, because its been two days and my male hasn't made crap yet with the female inside. btw, i love your bettas on aquabid

1taintedsoul mostly sometimes the bettas are either did you condition them?if you did pull the female out and recondition wait about 2 weeks and then try again hope this helped

From what I read, your supposed to keep the male and female seperate. When she is ready she will be in a vertical postion with her nose down

dont take the nipping and chasing seriously! its natual! do not disturb them by checking every 10 minutes or something! the less you disturb the more healthyly they spawn!

You should introduce them to each other first. You can do this by putting the female betta in a jar or something and keep her next to the male for a few days. Once he builds his nest he should be ready. When you do put the female in have some hiding places for her also.

check for a small strip on the females belly it should be probobly bigger than normal although that doesnt gurentee it becouse they might not be compatible

I just bred a sibling pair from my last batch...was beautiful as she built half or more of the nest and when finished they bred with not a mark on either...so very cool and babies are a bit over a week old now. Betta fish are such beautiful creatures

okay i heard that you need to put them in separate tanks first and make them look at each other. once that process is done, youll see them making bubbles. then you put them in the same tanks and let them breed. pretty cool huh? i might be wrong about what i told you though. heh

OMG what an beautifiul male! I'm going to try once again to breed and raise fry, but with a diferent method, and obviously with much more and better experience than last time. IMHO. Your water level is on the high side. You male is going to have a hard time tending to the fries.
