  • Faith is another way of saying : I no longer care what's true.

  • Wow he took a leap of faith off the edge of the flat earth.

The difference between this video and reality is, wishful thinking doesn't make something true.

  • Odd, isn't it, how so many people seem to think having "faith" is some sort of admirable quality, instead of a thoughtless, irrational one.

  • Wow, this video gives new meaning to the word "sucks"

  • Meaning of story? Christians are just like lemmings. Except more retarded.

  • @AutumnSplendors "...Otherwise you are no less than a Pavlovian dog, aimlessly seeking the sensationalism ..."

I agree with ueks69. That statement is loaded with blind malice towards those who dare think differently than you. Just remember, DOG, that you will be judged with the same malevolence you acted with when you played judge.

  • @AutumnSplendors I'm glad your mother lived to a ripe old age, but I do not see what that has to do with a Jewish zombie!

Yahweh didn't put anyone anywhere, & if he really existed, I would advice you to stay away from it! It's an evil monster that pretends to create things, but in reality, only likes to destroy, torture, & hate!

  • do me a favour here.

    1. get down on your knees and put your hands together.

    2. close your eyes.

    3. move your knuckles away from eachother, making a circle with both hands.

    4. now open your mouth as if you are talking to god.

    5. now think of what you are telling your children to do every night before bed.

    6. if for some reason step 5 doesn't apply to you (because you're not retarded) lol at all the christians out there in the world tell their kids to suck invisible dick every night.

    :)

  • @king78802 I was waiting for someone to get that XD

  • Simple, direct, to the point, and entertaining. I like.

  • @AutumnSplendors Care to back that claim with some serius evidence ;)

Your proposition is a fallacy in itself.

If you truely believe that statement, your dumb and ignorant....If you wrote that statement to convey your innermost hatred of anyone not believing in your magical skydaddy, then your not very christian, but a liar. So which is it, liar or dumb and ignorant :)

  • Nothing real requires faith.

  • @AutumnSplendors lol So God kills atheists now. How delusional can one person get.

  • anyone know the title of that one video with the stick figures one of which keeps saying 'god did it' and the third one set in a 'science store'?

  • Good video, make more :)

  • Who the heck is Frater Ravus? Ahahahahahahahaaaa!!!

  • I can respect your freedom to believe what you wish, but why knock others for their choice to believe something you don't? Why spend so much time bashing someone who thinks differently?

    That's called a Bigot.

  • @TheAmazingCreative It's because the belief causes so much trouble and conflicy in the world and has been responsible for the repression, torture, and death of so many humans. It is an evil, selfish doctrine and should be fought against if humanity is to better itself. The further away we move from our religious books, the more civilised we become.

  • @TheAmazingCreative "Why spend so much time bashing someone who thinks differently?" Aside from demonstrating reciprocity towards the beliefs? Aside from the propagation of ignorance that is called for to maintain the beliefs? Aside from the detriment to not only the past but also the present condition of humanity that the beliefs enforce?

Or how about how this video only displays the fact, supported by evidence, that "faith" only gets someone so far before they cause massive harm?

  • People who deny science should try living without it.

  • @hdregmore (continuation) 6) You are right.

  • @hdregmore 1) No it's not. Maybe some atheist do, but if you talk to any renown scientist, he/she will tell you that science is completely "agnostic" in the "god" question. 2) I know that scientific knowledge is not absolute, and I haven't claimed so. And it does not require faith, it requires evidence. 3) You didn't even address my point 4) Again, not answering my point 5) PERSONALLY, you said it yourself. To justify something you have to verify it in a way that is recognizable by everybody.

  • @kanmoreti Still counting laboriously huh? 1) Yes it is, just look at the videos and comments on atheist material on YT. 2) If it is not "absolute" then it requires faith to believe it will give us further answers. 3) You didn't read my answer 4) You STILL did not read my answer 5) So what is your point? Are personal experiences not real? 6) I am glad that you agree with your assumption being foolish.

Anything else or can I chalk this one up now?

  • @hdregmore 1) That is what I said. Atheists might use science for defending atheism, but science itself does not answer the god question. 2) Answer is continuously giving new answers to different question. One doesn't require faith to believe it will eventually give us more and more answers. 3) I said that science is testable (which is a fact), and then you said that science's assumptions are well documented, which is not true. 4) same

  • @kanmoreti 1) Okay that is what you were attempting to deny. Atheists use science to support their idea. 2) By your own admission science is answering questions while posing new ones. Your faith allows you to suggest further answers are knowable. 3) if you do not know of the basic assumptions of science then I suggest you look them up. 4) Same.

  • @hdregmore This conversation is not going anywhere. I am not gonna convince you and you are not gonna convince. So yeah, nice talking to you.

  • @kanmoreti Whatever. Next time when you decide to numerically criticize comments, kindly have the wherewithal to back it up.

  • @hdregmore (cont..) 5) One might think that he/she has had a personal experience, but he/she might be mistaken and what happened to him/her might be completely natural. One can't trust the personal experience of other people. You should watch QualiaSoup's video that addresses this issue. 6) When someone commits a mistake, one has to admit it.

  • @hdregmore

Really? You're comparing religion - where you can't test anything, to science - where everything has to be tested before it is accepted... and you're saying both have the same leap of faith?

  • @Spetsop I am saying that faith is required in science and religion.

  • woah.... the last quote blew me away:)) Great vid

  • and questioning is so much fun!

  • Loved the video!

There are two main causes of war. Faith and greed. There is a reason I put faith first.

  • Faith can do everything through Jesus. Watch "what faith can do" - Kutless

  • This is a good video. Your others are not very good though. They are high quality productionwise but they aren't funny or don't have very good points (with few exceptions).

  • The difference between the three Abrahamic religions: Christianity mumbling to the ceiling, Judaism mumbling to the wall, Islam mumbling to the floor.

  • @brokenscimitar As opposed to atheism which is mumbling to yourself in a dark corner.

  • Oh, I LOVE that one. :)

  • @fgbowen

Before wagging your finger at the video maker for 'not doing their homework', do a spelling check. It's "cynical" not "sinicle."

As Ali G said "Techmology. It's amazing. For thousands of years people have been reading books. Thanks to techmology, we can write them now too."

  • Beautifully done!

Thank you for your excellent work.

    Clean, simple, concise, and correct.

  • That is why I read the king James.

  • the bible was not originally written in English, that is the point

  • That makes no sense.

  • that point is, that the bible was originally written in a language other than English (Greek) so, to take the literal meaning of an English translation of the bible is to miss the point, because the Greek-English translation was far off from perfect, and quite a bit of meaning was lost

  • Doesn't a being threatening to send you to hell if you don't do what he says bear some responsibility to release another version of his supposed word in a context that people can understand? It wouldn't be difficult, he is all-powerful, after all.

  • King James? Srsly? The one with unicorns and stuff? And why do you read it? And not the Hebrew/Greek original?

The problem with the english Bible is that the greek original can be translated in so many ways. Take the gospel of John. It starts "In the beginning was the Word". You could also translate the greek as "In principle, there was reason".

But as one US teacher once said: If English was good enough for our Lord Jesus Chirst, it surely is good enough for everyone else. :D

  • The quote "If English was good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for me," was from the GOVERNOR of Texas when discussing Spanish language classes in public schools.

Great quote! It shows the incredible Animal-Farm-esque tendency of the believer to rewrite history in accordance with their own willful ignorance.

And that on two levels: the history of their "holy book" and the history of their governance (Texas' constitution).

Nice piont about the Hebrew & Greek originals, lagerbaer :-)

  • Leap of faith isn't mentioned in the holy scriptures.

Could have come out of Heelywood!

  • This video really brings up a good point.

A lot of the creationists agree that believing in god does require a leap of faith, but that not believing one requires just as large of one. The creationists are the ones that keep leaping away, while the atheists are the ones keeping their feet on the ground.

  • I thought the guy was just gonna keep on jumping until he couldn't hear what the Atheist was saying and then go "Ahh, that's better!"

That seems to be what all other Christians do!

  • @Bowmaj21 Maybe he had his blue tooth on, and got a phone call... Can you believe me now?.. how about now?..

  • Jesus said: I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep

  • so?

  • Actually, a good shepherd DOESN'T lay down their life for their sheep, because that makes it hard to shear them and milk them and kill them and eat them.

In fact, a good shepherd goes out of his way to NOT lay down his life for sheep that can be replaced.

  • teachings of the bible ?.. like slavery is ok ...women are inferior lifeforms... innocent people burning in hell ...etc...

The bible is an evil book full of horror and should never be taught to children

  • There's a lot of things in the bible that are based on basic morals. In the New Testament. Not the Old Testament. Basically, the Old Testament is the evil part of the Bible.

  • "the Old Testament is the evil part of the Bible" -saiyajin

Jesus hasnt the slightest objection to the cruelties of the Old Testament. "Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place." (Matthew 5:17)

  • This cartoon suggests all Christians are ignorant.

    Fail.

I'm an open-minded Christian who very well knows that I might be wrong in what I believe in. This cartoon spits in my face.

Stop with the bias towards religion. I know that atheists are smart people, but the only person igorant here is the creator of this video.

  • if you know that, then you don't believe it. You just think it. Believing something is thinking you know it's true, whether it actually is or not.

  • One can believe, and still have an open and realistic mind.

  • That's if you believe things that are true or almost certainly true, like evolution, gravity, the world being round, etc.

The existance of god is not only uncertain but unlikely, so it's a whole different kettle of fish (yay nonsensical expressions)

  • Theism doesn't block the mind 100%.

Oh, and you said the existence of God is unlikely? Says you! Hmm, over millions of religious folks would disagree with you on that. So, you say

  • There is a scientific explanation of the origin of the universe that doesn't require a creator, so occam's razor implies that the existance of a creator god is unlikely because it's unnecessary.

Couple that with how unreliable the bible is (in order to believe it and keep your credibility, you need to say half of it is metaphorical at least) and the scientific record of miracles (thousands claimed, 0 proven) and you get a very low chance of the judeo-christian god existing.

  • Scientific Explanation =/= Facts

Until I'm presented woth Physical evidence of the Big Bang I'm gonig to reject it

  • Does that enter into it? my explanation is better than your explanation, has fewer holes, is more thoroughly tested, is supported by more evidence. It's more likely to be right.

The only kind of explanations you can be 100% sure of are mathematical/logical proofs, everything else is just a matter of what's more likely.

entropy, microwave background radiation, and universal expansion.

But why reject it? without it, there's no reason for the universe to have begun, and no need for a creator.

  • Ha well show me this "evidence" you speak of

I have my evidence: The Bible. Although harshly bashed, thr Bible is true and just. Atheists take what the Bible says way out of porportion to promote their own bias views.

  • The evidence for the scientific explanation? all the evidence in the observable universe. Where would you like to start?

The bible supports slavery. Do you?

  • The evidence for the obersvable universe? The Bible.

Mind actually giving a Bible verse as to where it says slavery is ok?

  • that makes no sense.

Well, there's Leviticus 25:44-46 that says who you can buy and sell as slaves.

  • Well, your claim about evidence of scientific explanation being the observable world makes no sense. Touche, brother.

As to slavery, God would never approve of the enslavement of man. That's why he appointed Moses to free the Jews.

  • I said all the evidence in the observable universe.

You said earlier the bible is true and just. Which were you lying about?

  • Yes, ignore everything!

You've obviously never read the bible.

  • Stop talking to me, your attempts at converting me to atheism fails

  • If what you believe is true, why are you so afraid?

  • Whoever said I was afraid?

You don't get that you can't force me to conform to your way of thinking, label me if you please, but see if I care.

  • Why do you believe in Christian?

Also, have you ever actually read the bible from cover to cover?

  • You don't get it!

I'm Christian because I want to be. I find truth in the teachings of Jesus and the Bible.

  • Like what?

  • The fact that Jesus is my savior and that God sent him to die for our sins.

Along with the morals he preached about with his 12 prophets. I understand why you are critizing me, but please stop it.

  • jesus is cool.

  • So, it's just that people are infinitely punished for finite crimes?

  • Oh. You just told that guy.

  • Riddle me this! There was a Bible dated back to B.C. It told of a man who did things that are almost exactly the same as what Jesus did. Again. B.C.

  • ah you you all wont leave me alone...

ok screw all of you, you obviously have no respect for my beliefs, you wont let them be...

  • Well you obviously don't respect ours by coming to a Youtube video by a guy who makes athiest cartoons (obvious by his name) and putting up comments trying to prove your religion is right and our non belief is wrong.

  • idc

    leave me alone

this is my last comment related to this video. so, insult me if you want, I wont be around to read your ignorant comments, so screw all of you people, you're going to burn in hell regardless, so enjoy the pathetic life you currently have.

  • Oh. And I'm not Athiest.

  • "you're going to burn in hell" was your own words.

You want us to respect that belief?

They should give classes in school called Common Sense. For Christ's sake work on your people skills

  • fine you don't respect my beliefs. And my fellow Christians should lobby for an elective in school for alternative creation theory (a.k.a God).

Complain all you want, but we mean good in doing so, but you guys want to restrict our religious rights, right?

  • If you want to take some class to teach you creationism, fine. Do in on Sunday... at church. There is no way it should be taught in SCIENCE class. If it is taught, ALL creation theories should be taught, since public schools are open to people of all faiths. That would take a lot of time. You want religion? Go to church. You want to be educated? Go to school. There shouldn't be an overlap.

  • You can't claim you "mean good in doing so" while pushing "alternative creation god theory" forward as science to be taught to children in school... It's irresponsible and frankly offensive, what they will have learnt in those classes won't contribute in anyway useful towards the world, reason why science has gotten us this far in just over a century, it accurately describes and predicts how things behave, your theory on the other hand, could be true, but doesn't help us to advance in any way.

  • Take your shitty religion and do with it whatever you like, Masterofxtreme93, but keep it where it belongs. At home.

  • @Masterofxtreme93 It's not your right to put religion in schools. THAT IS NOT YOUR RIGHT. Get it through your thick fucking skull!!! I couldn't give a flying fuck if you mean well, I don't want you to spread your shit all over the textbooks. SORRY if that fucking offends you, but the constitution CLEARLY states that government and church be separate, you IDIOT. Oh, and if you REALLY wanted to put an alternative, and present all the ideas to let the kids choose, put in all the other religions too

  • @Masterofxtreme93

    Lol.

Christianity should be taught only in "Mythology" class. Along with fairy stories, Greek and Roman myths, King Arthur and Star Wars. The students should be encouraged to compare the various myths, identifying similarities in the story structures and character-types involved.

(They would find that Jesus isn't the first fictional hero to be born of a virgin and to die heroically for the sake of mankind - and that's just for starters...)

  • @jazzx251 not in the mood for religious arguments over the internet anymore.

BTW, my comments on this video are beyond old, so idc

  • Logical fallacy: Argumentum ad populum.

  • this video its so sweet!! haha christians are like... grazy people hahaha

  • Are they? Prove it.

  • You mean they're sheep? Nice little typo :P

  • And it says the sun revolves around the earth!!!

  • That was what people believed back then. Also, it states the earth was round hundreds of years before science proved so. Will guys please stop attacking us? At least make a logical debate, and discontinue these demeaning videos. Ever occur to you that we are human too?

  • Didn't it specifically say it was circular? Could be wrong though. Also, the fact that they might have got one or two things right doesn't change the fact it got so much more wrong.

  • They got it all wrong. It was totally and completely misrepresented. It's like when Kent Hovind says "They believe we came from a rock!" It's a total misrepresentation of evolution. Somewhat true, but twisted around ridiculously.

  • "I will leap for Jesus any day of the week."

Yup. Just like trained pups will jump for the circus man.

  • If god says jump...

  • So if you heard a voice in your head claiming to be god, and telling you to kill your neighbor and rape his wife, would you do it?

There are those who would do it readily in such a case. Some would admit so proudly. People with that attitude need to be locked up.

  • Pft. Too bad for them! They certainly don't represent the entirety of all Christians. If there was such a voice I would not listen to it.

  • That's good to hear.

  • why was he jumping ?

  • He was Leaping :P

  • Love that quote at the end by "Frater Ravus."

    Short and powerful!!

  • frater, you and would be great friends.

  • no it isn't, that's the word of some guy 2,000 years ago, which was then edited by hundreds of people a few centuries afterwards, which was then translated to english.

  • Good knowledge and good intent makes the world better. The lack of knowledge makes it worse.

Train yourself with science and follow the golden rule!

I don't care about the fairy tales you like, but do not think they are related to any actual knowledge.

  • Go to Wikipedia and read "Ethic of reciprocity". The Golden Rule is not from the bible.

    Again: Train yourself.

  • Check out the "References" section at the bottom of the page and go after it!

Yes. Technically, Wikipedia is not a 100% sure source for scientific information, that's why it cannot be used as reference in a homework at universities. That's correct.

But telling that a page - or generally pages you don't like - are products of "atheist propaganda" is a very brave claim.

Wikipedia is more likely to be true than false. Go after it if you don't believe.

  • Bahahahaha

Conspiracy theorist at it's finest. Any page that contradicts your believes must be written by those evil atheists!

  • I see that just because it does not verify your claims you will blame it on Wikipedia. No, actually you're just wrong. And just because it was written by atheists doesn't mean it is incorrect.

  • u know any one can edit wikipedia and ur going to need a more reliable resource

  • Please read my comment.

Check out the "References" section at the bottom of the page and go after it.

What do you don't understand? Go after it! Not on Wikipedia! Check the references! Got it already? Good. Thank you.

  • "I believe in evolution. I believe that God created the micro-organisms that eventually evolved into humans. You don't think it all had to start from somewhere?"

oh oh oh, that's rich. So your "loving god" allowed thousands upon thousands of generations of the evolutionary lines that eventually created us to exist merely as a catalyst for the creation of your god's perfect creation?

He murdered millions upon millions of our ancestors just to create us? How arrogant. What a bastard!

  • Read the Big Book o' Atheism, you theist.

You really have no idea about the Invisible Pink Uncorn, so why don't you learn before you star making comments aimed against Atheism?

If you want to go to Hell, that's your choice.

  • Read it. Boring, bloody. No different than Greek or Egyptian or Celtic myths, except that they're more sophisticated.

  • Many atheists have read the Bible, but do not believe what it says to be true. Without evidence, why should they believe its claims?

  • AHAHAHAHAHHA! Wait, that wasn't a joke? You seriously believe that a text (other than mathematical) can provide evidence for its correctness within itself?

  • "There WAS evidnece in the Bible"

You must mean before we knew the world wasn't flat, and the Earth is more than 6-8 thousand years old.

  • @y277480v The Bible never says the world is flat...

  • your bible says that bats are birds lol

  • Har. No it doesn't. They are fowls of the air if that's what you mean.

  • i just looked up fowl in the dictionary: a gallinaceous bird kept chiefly for its eggs and flesh; a domestic cock or hen. • The domestic fowl is descended from the wild red junglefowl of Southeast Asia (see jungle fowl ).

    • any other domesticated bird kept for its eggs or flesh, e.g., the turkey, duck, goose, and guineafowl.

    • the flesh of birds, esp. of the domestic cock or hen, as food; poultry.

    • birds collectively, esp. as the quarry of hunters.

    • archaic a bird

    so yea you fail

  • The KJV translation of the Bible was written in 1611. Terms have changed since then. Oh yeah, and btw. Bats were never mentioned in the Bible to my knowledge. Unless you can give me a passage that states otherwise, I am quite afraid to say...YOU fail.

  • ok i looked at the other translations and most of them translated to bird and when they didnt they translated to fowl exept for the contemporary english version which did not mention what they were i am guessing that fowl in the kjv version must translate into bird for the lack of other word translation but all the versions mention bats in leviticus 11:13-19

  • Okay, then your complaint is? (By the way, you have yet to make a grammatically/punctuation/capitalization correct comment.)

  • my point was that fowl translates into bird because none of the other versions said any thing other than bird or fowl

  • So what? Get the point man! Your wasting my time.

  • that means that the bible says bats are birds

  • Yeah! You've hammered that into my head without mercy!!! Your point already!?!? On with it dude! Seriously! What does it take to gain some cooperation!?

  • well it was just that you kept asking what i meant sorry

  • Oh! Okay. Well, why did you say it in the first place?

  • I've read the Bible 7 times, my Xian friend! And I'm tired of reading about killings, rapes, murders, genocides, child-killing, concubine-cutting ups, and idiots that send people to hell.

Whatever happened to "Love thy enemy"?

  • hey kid. just give up before you hurt yourself

  • I went through the same process and got rid of all my "faith". Nice job!

  • OK, I'll see you there, LOL. Send me a drop of water while you are in the bosom position of Abe.

  • Very good point at the end.

  • He's gonna go to hell for committing suicide.

  • The good ol' leapy frog christians.

  • lol, nice one

  • Can you say that again in English?

I agree, God doesn't kill people. Non-existance makes killing, and pretty much everything else, impossible.

But if you believe in what the bible says, you have to believe that God kills people. It's there in black and white.

  • excuse me. i have a question? what does to get eat they want mean?

  • we are not to question God's existence, there's just no evidence of it, the burden of proof is within those who say he exists. And they are normally tied to religion!

  • you are confused here, atheists are not the people who deny the possibility of a god, atheist is someone who doesn't BELIEVE there is a god because there's simply no evidence for it, all atheists are agnostics, there are agnostic theists and agnostic atheists, and then theres religious people, you should research a bit more, just use google!

  • Your right. it does not refute the existence of a higher being. But if you believe in a god who is all loving and still allows all of this torture than we now KNOW that your god is either not all loving or he is not all powerful in which case he cannot be god(cause hes not all powerful).

  • Notice how you have to bring in biblical interpretations - "a god who is all loving".

That is an assumption of what a higher being's characteristic would be. I believe that a higher being created the world - I am not convinced that a higher being controls our daily activities. And also our interpretation of what is right or wrong is limited to our own mental capacities. I think torture is wrong. A higher being may see a point to it that we could never grasp.

  • im just making a claim against how Christians view their god. If he isnt all loving then the world according to that claim makes sense, what with all the suffering and "evil". And your right, if a higher being does exist he may see a point to it that we dont, but to me it makes no sense unless this higher being is evil. But again, science is gaining a bigger understanding of our universe the more time passes. Just cause something is unexplainable atm does not mean god did it.

  • Christianity is an interpretation of God. Of course it is entitled to criticism. But the single core essence of "a God" is difficult to refute. I can understand someone saying they choose not to believe in God...but I have difficulty understanding people who say there is absolutely no God. Very difficult to refute something.

  • So then what is god? what do you define as god, or what is the accepted definition of "a god"?
