cont...Americans aren't the only ones who have had near death experience. Millions of people from different cultural and religious backgrounds have had an NDE, and they have all had very similar experiences with "Westerners" as you would put it. We would all have a different perception of the afterlife, but what's clear is that besides the religious figures we see in an NDE, behind it is an eternal light full of love.

Yes people have had "dead" experiences. Just because they're not in this documentary in particular doesn't mean they've never occurred. An example is a man by the name of Dr. George Rodonaia, dead for three days and came back to life in the midst of his own autopsy. Pam Reynolds, a singer who underwent brain surgery and was "killed" by the surgeons in order to remove her brain tumor. Research more into their stories and into the phenomenon to reach a better understanding.

These people's lovely stories are all very well. But there's no proof that a 'dying' experience is the same as a 'dead' experience. None of these people are dead. Why on earth are human beings so egotistical, that they think they get an afterlife when other creatures don't? it's just silly. Also it's interesting these Americans got their western version of heaven with rainbows and jesus. Are there other afterlives for other people?!

epon: True, non of these people really died. That is why they call it a NEAR-death experience.. And who told you that other creatures don't have an afterlife?
