i've been a die hard giants fan my whole life and i agre with most of whatyou said with the exception of the comment about shockey. shockey is my facorite player and most giants fans loved him. the way he played with so much intensity and fire and heart no body cant say that there not gonna miss him. he was a huge weapon on the giantsand i will miss him alot. not to be biased but i beleive he is one of the best TE's ever to play in the NFL, along with Jason Witten and Tony Gonzalez.

Absolutely, don't get me wrong, I loved Shockey. My first Giants jersey was a Shockey jersey. But this was all before he became a drop-prone whining bitch. It seemed like every year, Shockey would become more and more of an overrated tight end that bitched and moaned every play he didn't get the ball. And then last year only cemented my belief, The Giants, particularly Eli and the offense began to play well after Shockey broke his leg. The Giants won a Super Bowl WITHOUT him. Enough said.

If the Giants want a 1st and a need position they'll never trade him, I can tell you that right now. That's way over market value for a guy like Shockey. Maybe not in '03, but it is now. Hell you could land Chad Johnson for less than that, and he doesnt have near the injury concerns Shockey does. I think even a 1st is over market value for Shockey, considering he's coming off an injury and his attitude. The Saints offered a 2nd and a 6th, the Giants felt it wasnt enough. This trade won't happen.

Anyways ya it doesn't seem like the Giants do want to trade him, considering what they're asking for. Which is just as well. The only thing the Vikings have is Adrian Peterson. He sat out and the Giants still got their butts whooped at home 41-17. Mainly because Shockey let the other team rape the ball right out of his hands and he didnt even tackle them. Balls dropped off his hands as usual.
