  • hmmm i think i will buy the ps2 version cause the gc has this button problem ! how are the controls on ps2 ? x button for jumping and sqare button for fire ? ( i also need to buy an new controller . the d- pad .. umm yeah nearly the whole controller is broken)

  • I could not believe how badly the Gamecube fucked up and switched the buttons. I mean, how the fuck do you do that? Did anybody who knew anything about Mega Man test play them? It’s really a frustrating feature.

  • Megaman, Megaman 2, Megaman 3, Megaman 4, Megaman 5, Megaman 6... Isn't that sound like rap?

  • You can use passwords to unlock the arcade games, though.

  • I got this for ps2 for 50 cents.

  • Does any one know if the difficulty in the game affects unlockables? say I play on easy mode will I still unlock stuff. Thanks

  • I can't belive i got this and X collection for a $1.50

  • fucking love this collection well worth your money if you love these types of games

  • My biggest complaint about this game collection is that the 'B' button jumps and the 'A' button fires. WHY? I had a difficult time the whole time I was playing because I kept pressing the 'A' button and expecting to jump. Fell down many cliffs because of this. Can't believe Capcom screwed up the controls.

  • @MrHossCartwright not in the xbox version, for that reason i sold my gamecube version of the game and bought it on the xbox :) you jump with A and shoot with X. so much better.

  • @AgentOrange502 Well I found a way around the button issue on Gamecube by using a SNES Retroport controller adapter I got from RetroUSB (aka Retrozone) to use a SNES pad on GC use Y to shoot and B to jump (since you can't config the buttons and swap A and B around) Mega Man X Collection (the MM spin-off) is not on Xbox but you can config the buttons (unlike MMAC) so the SNES buttons can be mapped like the SNES versions of the games so you don't have to buy the expensive SNES carts.

  • @MrHossCartwright To get around the button issue RetroUSB (aka Retrozone) has made a SNES Retroport controller adapter that plugs into the Gamecube controller port allowing any SNES controller to be used as a GC Pad Mega Man NES games and Mega Man 8 Y can be used for fire and B to Jump (since the idiots swapped A and B around and you can't config the controls at all) however Mega Man X Collection does allow control config and games can be mapped to the SNES pad like the MMX SNES games

  • should i buy this game or the megaman x collection??

  • @VAST56 why not both?

  • @VAST56 both

  • The Power Fighter and Power Battle were released in America.

  • It really sucks, we didn´t get this in Europe.

    Why Capcom, WHY?

  • @MrPaultje81 you can always import

  • you get power battle by beating needle man with gemini laser

  • I got the Gamecube version for $4 and thanks to Retozone's website I can use a NES and SNES controllers to play the games using their Retroport adapter which mean I can use turbo fire pads like my SNES Ascii Pad. I recommend using a SNES pad for MM1-6 and 8 since Y can also be used for fire and B is jump. The RP adapter can be used to play MM Wii VC games via the Wii's GC ports too. MMX collection's buttons can be configured on the SNES pad so you can play these games like on SNES.

  • @usedx115x the new controls take a while to get used to, but the anniversary collection has more extras and better sound through my opinion.

    Hope i helped!

  • ok youtube i really need your help on this one, i love the old megaman games and i want to buy the anniversary collection, i have all 3 systems its sold for and i need to decide which one would feel the most like playing the old games, for example i imagine it would be awkward to play with the xbox control stick or its weird little d-pad. so anyways which port do you think has the best controls?

  • @usedx115x xbox

  • @usedx115x id probably go with ps2. the controller is the most i guess "normal feeling" of the 3. xbox is huge and bulky and gamecube is bulky too and the buttons are a bit stiff.

  • ive got zero collection and im waiting for this one to ship in the ill have bothso all i need is X COLLECTION DAMN IT!!! lol

  • This collection is amazing but what kinda irrates me is its easier to obtain this game than mega man x collection many reviews gave x collection a bad score which i dissagree with i think the whole mega man series is amazing i wish i could find a copy but sadly no:(

  • @Bigmcd3 Go to a Gametop, they can check the database and see if they have it at a nearby store. if not try gamexchange.

  • you mean capcom?

  • i'm getting this soon. i'm so useing easy on megaman 1 cause for some reason that one is a jerk to me but i've beaten every other megaman but it was never as hard as the first one XD

  • I think i just a found a total deal breaker for this collection which i'm pissed about. Capcom switched around the buttons for the GCN version. instead of B shooting and A jumping...they switched it to B jumping and A shooting? wtf....They could of at least had an option to switch that around. i planned on getting a GCN Hori Controller off eBay which looks like an SNES controller as well to play it on, argh.

  • @Donatello97 pick up the adapter that lets you use retro controllers (NES SNES N64) for GameCube ports. Trust me, its a lot a cheaper and a lot better than getting the Hori Digital GameCube Controller.

  • how do u unlock megaman 1 2 3 4 5 6 76 8

  • does this have the megaman x series also??

  • no but you can get the "megaman x collection" for gamecube, ps2, or xbox and it has megaman x1-x6 or something like that u can get it on ebay for like 30 bucks or so usually its pretty worth it considering megaman x3 carts for snes alone are above 50 bucks, u might as well get the gamecube collection with almost all the megaman x's on it for 30.... pretty worth it , i just got lucky and got it for under $20 on ebay.

  • I am having control issues.

Sometimes when I accidentally push down and left or right on the joystick, along with the A button, my weapon switches to Rush, Beat, etc. This is getting on my nerves because I keep switching weapons when I did not want to. Plus, it momentarily prevents me from firing and I sometimes die as a result.

Also, occasionally, when I push Z, the wrong menu comes up.

Could this be because of my controller?

  • @BollyBibby

It's either your controller, or your copy is messed up

  • That's bizarre, sounds almost like MMZ2's Ultimate Form.

  • What?

  • i got this game from game stop for only 6dollar

  • i found this at electronic boutique for 4.99$, good buy eh!!!

  • Do you have the megaman x collection?

  • @GamMan93 i do and its well worth the money

  • where can i find this now?

  • ummm... No I didnt? (Other account)
