  • great song

  • They stole this from Chuck berry...

  • @molakameboxing

and chuck berry stole it from

    back to the future?

  • Mike Love is acting like an uncomfortable David Bowie hahahaha. I've never seen Dennis Wilson so clean cut either! It's so strange to see him lacking that raw edge he had!

  • They say the name of my hometown in this song

  • How did I ever miss this on the Red Skelton show!

  • muito ilírio,o quarto dançarino então!min ha vó deveria quebrar o maxixi co mo diz meu pai, kkkkkk.Mas a música é boa

  • Can't wait to see their performance at the Grammys tonight :)

  • @ShaunaRoganOfficial That's right! The Grammys..

  • now if you were flooding like they are you would teased

  • the most successful invasion since the American revolution.

  • Such a shame they got pulled into stealing a tune. Real talented group but I could never respect them.

  • How amazing would living in California in the 50s/60s be?

  • @techdeck137 Not too good, your (possibe) older brother and probably your dad aswell where send to Europe, and might have died, and you, you would be sent to Vietnam. (taking you are a boy/man)

and a big trash on ocean from tsunami

    coming before june?

  • they stole the tune from chuck berry's "sweet little sixteen. chuck sued them and won. these guys arent as great as people think

  • @TanAlbin0 And where did Brian Wilson get 'God only knows' from?

God only knows is the answer.

  • @TanAlbin0 Ripping off a single song from another artist doesn't make Pet Sounds less iconic, nor does it make Brian Wilson less of a musical genius.

  • I JUST HATE IT! When GOOD BANDS like this one just stops mkaing their music :'(

  • good thing they have their high water pants on, i see a riptide a comin

  • where is al jardine and who is that guy replacing him ?

  • The dance ! OMG ! THE DANCE xDD !

  • @n0n07890 hallucinatory, isn't it?

  • @n0n07890 ahahhahaaha wonderful ahahhah

  • chuck berry

  • That must be David Marks on guitar on the left.

  • Chuck Berry's "Sweet Little Sixteen"... Somebody should point out "Surfing USA" is one of the biggest riped off melodies in rock history. Not to take away from success the Beach Boys made on this hit but the fact is a fact. I hope they paid ole Chuck for this tune. All they did was change the lyrics and Wholla! you got teenie boppers from conservative parent buying it. Chuck's "original" was probably a little racy in comparison...I'm just saying...

  • @creaturebotman They did have to share the royalties with Chuck Berry.

  • Is Glen Campbell there too?

  • 60's tv cameras are better than iphone 4s camera, well except the color ofcourse

  • Once I was young too.

  • they didn't like the hippies in San Francisco

  • "Surfin' USA" is a variation of Berry's "Sweet Little Sixteen".[24] A lawsuit officially granted Berry writing credit and royalties from the record.

  • Some of our grandmas were real tramps

  • @TheStoicPoet yep. hobag city, usa.

  • i watch in 2012!!!

  • @mauriciostrx wow your watching a music video i 2012 i quess no one else has or they might of and theres no way to find out other than looking when you posted your comment

  • David was just a kid here - 16 years old. He eventually left the group because he's had it with Murray Wilson. He was talented, and a team player, but he wasn't the last of Murray Wilson's victims by any means.

  • escucho esto y me dan ganas de ir a la playa XD

  • Ahhh gotta love those man capris ;)

  • From left to right: David Marks, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Mike Love and Brian Wilson. A super band. RdoJr.

  • Controversy in the success of this song "Surfin' USA", called plagiarism. Is an homage to a classic well known at the time, a melodic version of Chuck Berry, "Sweet Little Sixteen". Plagiarism is a composition very similar or even equal to original, with different lyrics. Plagiarism is not credited to the original composer. The version differs from plagiarism, preserves the structure of the original song, changing only the letter, and crediting the real composer. Source: Wikipedia. RdoJr.

  • The melody is the exact same but the lyrics are different. It wasn't plagiarism because Brian Wilson gave Chuck berry a co-composing credit on the song

  • Sweet little sixteen

  • Nostalgia

  • Hit 'em with the twist! Works everytime !

  • From left to right: David Marks, Carl Wilson, Dennis Wilson, Mike Love and Brian Wilson. A super band.

  • What ever happened to David marks?

  • @bigguy4570 He's back!!!

  • VERY COOL

  • Fantásticos los Beach Boys, voces inmejorables. Veo en el video que lo de los "pantalones pesqueros" viene ya de lejos...

  • WHAT AMAZING STYLE! I love wearing bathing suits like that, not letting every thing hang out like nowadays, jeeze.

  • Oh boy. Neil Patrick Harris sucks at dancing 1:39

  • @ihp0ts he looks nothing like him and thats mike love ,and its better dancing that todays style of crap so called dancing !

  • @ihp0ts wait what one are you calling neil patrick harris man ?

  • This is the first song I ever really knew by the beach boys, and I'm glad it is.

  • @ilovelucyfan12 me toooo

  • @mike16460 that's awesome.

  • I've said it for decades and I'll say again..Brain Wilson was on another planet. STUNNING.

  • Man, that aint the beach boys, thats Neil Patrick Harris right there

  • @ihp0ts My thought exactly!

  • this is a rare occurance since the beach boys got a special release for a short time from San Quention to do this show!

  • good music - stupid fashion, and i don't mean the clothes but the whole scene

  • Does anybody else notice this sounds a lot like Chuck Berry's "Brown-Eyed Handsome Man"?

  • @buttonchuck nah they stole it from sweet sixteen. chuckc berry song. this song is way better though

  • TOP dancing!!!!

  • I had no idea this is actually a Chuck Berry's song. Thanks to "Cadillac Records" movie!

  • cool

  • Way to base all of White People's old dancing skills on one video. Now white women dance like whores. So there are barely any improvements. The shuffle? Bullshit. You look like you're doing a similar style to the running man, and don't say it isn't similar. Look a second time and it is, just backwards and with a slight curve to your heel.

  • nice song but not the best dancing lol

  • @Kroatowa Infact i a chuck berry song. haha

  • This is before Al. That is David Marks on left.

  • 1:39-1:45 that girl shuffling?

  • @vampichocco

    whatahell is shuffing?/?

  • @vampichocco no that's the pony. one of chubby checker's dances from the 50"s

  • omg baaaaaaaaad memories

  • I love them..

  • bushy bondu

  • chuck berry song

  • I'm getting seasick watching this.

  • El look chavo del 8 es genial!!!

  • Mike Love has not age a day....

  • Comment removed

  • @MrDirtybear He has been 70 years old since 1962.

  • White people owe there dancing and singing to black soul stars these days. As you can see

in this video they moved like cement blocks wearing clothes.

  • This is when white people danced so stiff and awkward! thanks to cultural

and social mingling they are more flexible now.

  • Reworked Chuck Berry's "Sweet Little Sixteen"...

  • who the hell is that dude at the far left ?..i think he may be one of the brief, original members..the beach boys i know are all the guys after that "dude"

  • @blica1 That's David Marks. Al Jardine buggered off for a bit in the band's infancy, and Carl's friend David stepped in as a replacement. By 1963 Al was back and Murry fired David.

  • @Karateworm It should also be noted that both Al and David played in the band together for a short while making them a sixpiece before David left. Brian missed some shows and Al played bass. Of course both David and Al are now part of the band for the reunion which is cool :-)

  • @boyders16 Indeed, although I'm lost as to why David is part of the reunion. I mean, really?

  • @Karateworm Because he was on four of their albums? Because he played over a hundred live shows with them in the early 60's? Because he's a shit hot guitarist and is the surviving 50% of that original guitar sound? And maybe because he was shafted by Murry and frozen out as a piece of the bands history until the last decade or so when he started to get recognised, in no small part thanks to the efforts of people like Jon Stebbins.

  • @boyders16 Oh ok, you've convinced me :P. I can't bare to listen to the surfing Beach Boys, so I suppose that's why I've never really felt any need to pay any attention to him.

  • @Karateworm Haha see that's the sound that got me into them although now i'm mostly into their post Pet Sounds work up to the Holland album. David can really tear it up on the guitar though so i'm looking forward to seeing him again, his solo stuff is pretty decent too btw. I recently bought the book "The Lost Beach Boy" which is a really excellent read even if you aren't into the early part of the bands career. Check it out! :-)

  • @Karateworm Liar. ALL white people love this.

  • @Karateworm You're a douche- he's an original member and the most talented in terms of his ability to play an instrument.

  • @kingofallwhites What an odd person you are.

  • @Karateworm Don't be dissing David Marks. The man has been through a lot. And with Carl and Dennis no longer being with us the band needs every original surviving member involved.

  • I copied from sweet little 16 chuck berry.buuuuuuuuuuuuuuu very bad...

  • They sound lije The Monkees.

  • im ... speachless

  • I love brian's moves hahaha

  • @gile1981 in those days putting blacks on t.v. could be career suicide. Thankfully many were 'brave'.

  • and that shit has to surf in USA, fucking nationalist

  • What is up with their pants??

  • bons tempos...................

  • wow 1963

  • Ok, I'm white, but my God, how did my people ever dance like a such a bunch of spazzes. I fear to think what the pop charts would have been without black people.

  • Se me hace raro que no aparezca Ft Pitbull en algun video...

  • heeyy look this boards ahaha

  • Tout une époque :)

  • I SAW THESE GUYS AT AGE 10, IN 63' AT THE EARL WARREN SHOWGROUNDS IN AUGUST AT MY SISTERS BIRTHDAY PARTY. MY MOM, THE CONCERT PIANIST REASONED IT OUT AS GOOD MUSIC, AND THE REST WAS HISTORY. I SAT IN THE SECOND ROW, AND WHEN I SAW WHAT WAS UP, I KNEW I WOULD BE NOTHING BUT A ROCKER. STILL AM SURE, EVEN DAT3ED CRAZY KATE, MIKE LOVE'S GIRLFRIEND, AND I THINK I HAVE OUTLASTED THEM. THEY WERE MUCH MORE FAMOUS, BUT WE ALL GET WHAT WE NEED AND LOVE. I HAVE A FAMILY, AND ROCK, N' MY HEALTH RARE ;)

  • On this cold Nebraska nite I'm Surfin the Web for Beach Boys tunes..

  • apart from archeologic interests ... this vid shows how stupid rock would be without british invasion.. no one can doubt how silly were amerian " rock " bands invented to prevent teenagers contact with black rockers , Chuck Berry ( from whom Beachboys stole a bunch of songs )

  • @cbimbi NOT BUD NOBODY PUT US SANTA BARBARA SURFERS UP TO ANYTHING AND WE LOVED CHUCK BERRY , HECK HE Was locked up in lompoc you know at the FCI. HE did concerts in SB , and there was no prejucdice in sufr music, it was a fun, hamonic thing. MY MOM was with Colombia records, we KNOW THE FAMILY, SO DON;T BE MAKIN STUFF UP FROM YOUR PREJUDICE. IT'S UNTRUE AND NOT RIGHT. THE BRITISH CAME HERE WITH THE DOPE SOUND CAUSE OUR MARKET WAS HUGE, AND HEY THEY ALL WENT TO MEMPHIS , NASHVILLE, STILL DO.

  • @BuddyPrinceton Stop using capital letters, you old demented coot. Thats called "yelling" on this thing we call the Internet.

  • this video would have been in 63. david marks now tours with mike love and bruce johnson when they do concerts as "the beach boys" supposedly.

  • @TheBabyboomkidof53 correction. david marks will be touring with mike love, bruce johnston, al jardine and brian wilson as the beach boys! please get your facts straight. David Marks hasnt toured with said beach boys since 1999.

  • @gsgeek540 Not true, David occasionally joins Mike and Bruce's band on tour. He was with them in Britain in 2008. True about the reunion lineup though.

  • David Marks went on to become a dentist...! A friend of mine was his patient.

  • @ThomasDeLello : That's exactly what Al Jardine was studying to be when he decided to drop it and rejoin the band.

  • Now we say: BOOBIES USA!

  • In the age: Naked USA!

  • @ Buckeyeman in auzi it is summer

  • Greatest band in Rock & Roll history....will start touing in April, 2012...new CD out SOON.
