eh... These very talented, world-touring multi-instrumentalist Aussies are not "making fun" of ENNIO MORRICONE ~ the only 'film composer' to have his own tribute band.

The "fun" was inherent in the originals, and these fellas are major Morricone fans ~ as they say themselves on their website: "we don't parody the music". Instead they invoke the exhuberance of the originals.

I always assumed that trumpet solo in the original was recorded with the tape slowed down and then sped back up to sound that manic -- which would make the version we hear on the recording virtuablly unplayable in real ilfe.

This is a lot of fun, though what's up with the guy hawking and clearing his throat at the beginning? Surely there wasn't a spaghetti western with THAT in it!

Perfect show, saw them in Hamburg, St. Pauli Theatre. They seem to tour the whole world. This song is also the encore, with the audience divided in two parts. One half sings the aiijaaijaaa and the other half the dadada. Great fun!
