I got to watch and hear six Honda 250cc 6 cylinders (four cycle), and four Yamaha 250cc 4 cylinders (two cycle) at the 1967 Monza GP. Talk about mechanical music. All the 4 cycle engines used megaphones back then, and there is no tin can muffler that they stick on the 4 cycles of today that even comes close to the megaphone music. Later that day Giacomo Agostino and Mike Hailwood were in a race by themselves in the 500cc class. The 500's didn't have the musical wail of the 250's though.

I think this is the 300 c.c. 6 cylinder bike - the blue oval with white number 3 indicates the 350 class.

Oooooh, that's a brilliant idea, a field full of 6 cylinder 250's drivern by young racing drivers. Imagine the sound!

I saw Jim Redman on Team Obsolete's original racer at the Centennial TT Assen in 1998.
It was awsome, but a crank bearing failure limited the session a bit. Still one of the greatest racers and THE greatest racebike ever to be built.
