The merry-go-round still spins as elegantly as the day it was made. A lost art in British Engineering. You can't sit on it any-more, there is only one foot board that has survived the coastal bashing.
@IOWPC i remember spinning on that roundabout in the 1970`s when it was like new. unfortunately someone has prized off the old wicksteed makers badge since my last visit.you are right they don`t make `em like that anymore.
@Quarkman0 thanks for your kind comment,the chine has certainly had its heyday , no small part to mother nature.but its lost its simple charm somewhat as well.i first went there in 1974 and have returned countless times since.it used to be a serious hike to the bottom in those days and hard work on the legs on the way back up.happy days.:)
