its been good thus far. ill be replacing it with a truck over the winter. but thus far i have no complaints. the LS4 is a nice little motor it's a shame it wont be in anything anymore since chevy dropped the SS from the impala lineup for 2010.

Comparing the Impala and the G8 is apples and oranges. It's a shame the Pontiac was axed the G8 is a great car. And the G8 GT doesn't have an LS2. Still a 6.0L like the LS2 was, but it's not an LS2, little bit different motor. Forget the designation. And the G8 GXP has the LS3.

I just bought the same year/model/color last weekend. Incredible machine. Sadly, due to the dark, this video does not show the real capability of this car. Not even close. Last weekend shortly after I bought it, I was taking a friend out in it and told me to punch it. Being new (to me), I was not going to go all out. We were coasting at a little over 20mph and I pressed down a cm or two on the accelerator and it peeled out even then.

The Monte Trashcan was the worst POS I ever owned. Had to pull the engine at 125k. Wiped 7 lobes on the cam. despite synthetic oil it had a ridge at the top of the cylinder walls. After I rebuilt the engine I sold it. It was a Monte Trashcan SS!!

It's front wheel drive because it's still on the old W-body platform. They didn't have a RWD platform to build it on. Even with the zeta platform coming out it's anybodys guess if they will bring back the MC and build it on this platform. The G8 and Camaro are the only cars that are definately a go on it. The Impala is gonna be pushed back from being built on it.

actually then that was the stock exhaust with just the resonater removed. now i have 40 series flowmasters on and it sounds even better. but the thing with mine is the 2006 - 2007s have the v8 in them so its gonna sound a little better than the ones before. thanks! :)
