OMG! I'm tired of this racial boundary crap! I'm light skinned and get picked on for being a "fake black" because of how light I am. Most people actually say I look half white and Hispanic but "my curvy shape (thick butt apparently) they know I'm black" -_-. I'm actually Black (mom) and Indian (both sides dad 1/2 Cherokee and white and mom quarter Chippewa) and my great great grans are Irish O_o lol. So the racial judging thing just equals a big fat fail! I was just curious to learn my family...

Background because growing up i was always picked on or singles out by black people for "acting white" and by whites because I should be with my "own kind" which my best friend was white and we ate lunch together all the time. But its ignorant to claim or generalize a type of behavior, good or bad qualities, and talents based on a shade of color -_-. If Ms. TaTa was black, white, blue, or yellow with green polka dots CERTAINLY does not hide nor deny the fact that she has truly been blessed...

With a magnificent and truly heaven sent voice of an Angel! We are all children of God inhabiting this Earth and we need to quit this race barrier thing -_-'. Put her against Pattie, Tina, and Shirley and I'm sure she can out sing them all if she wanted. Heck...I'm black and I can't sing XD. But I can carry a tune >_>...if I don't open my mouth lol....like a harmonious hum maybe lol. I love Tata vega the voice in the church scene for color purple OMG. (Shug Avery's singing voice that is) She sounds like Shirley Murdock on the tone and runs/ i love her low and high range just her range period is flawless. her transitions of vocal register are so perfect it sounds like a different person sings that part everytime she does it u think it's another person if you couldn't see.
