I have radar on the C-Dory, not on the Mischief yet. I may elect not to put it on. The base model Raymarine radar works great (24 mile) if you're looking for a simple unit (combined with GPS). Best of luck starting your trip(s)!

Thanks, I hope to get back to the Great Loop at the end of summer, in fact you caught me taking a break from changing engine and gearbox oils (the usual stuff) and putting in a bilge pump. At the end of all the movies on the Great Loop series, it is my hope more families will have the confidence to do it or some section of it. For now I have to head to Montana and film a sapphire-finding exedition.

I really enjoyed your video's. I completed the great loop by myself mainly from Hendersonville,TN in 2005. I thought you explanations were great.
