Those squirrels can bite through kevlar (bullet proof material) gloves. If the cat even licked him he could die without antibiotics. If The cat breaks the skin he will almost certainly die. If you get another and the cat gets him take it to a vet. You can put hardware cloth over your chimney to keep them out. Great job catching him and releasing.
