The band is called that because the guitarist, Jesse, played Vader for Josh Homme from Queens of the Stoneage... he said they sounded like "The Eagles of Death Metal". its an inside joke, not a statement of the music within. Sorry for jumping to conclusions but all too many a time an overly opinionated metal-head (im one of them so I know) will talk shit just because.

But its funny, in terms of melody, the first few lines of this song sound a lot like a Steely Dan song called "Only A Fool Would Say That"
