And then mom would come it at around nine and tell you to turn the T.V off because there was school the day after and you would beg for 30 minutes more because you knew that all those movies ended at around 9:40 p.m? I know this type of movie is not exactly Oscar worthy material. But I just found out Martin Short got Razzie nominated for worst supporting actor for Santa Clause 3 : The Escape of Clause o__O For those of you who don't know what the Razzie awards are, it is the OPPOSITE of the Oscars. Where (mainly) bad Actors get nominated for Worst leading role and worst supporting role and so on and so on. Did Martin Short really deserve a Razzie nomination for this ? o__O I havent seen it so I am wondering.

On the DVD of Santa Clause 2, on a special feature, the director Michael Lembeck (he also directed this film as well) said that his idea for Santa Clause 3 was to have Santa retire and have Santa's then #2 elf Curtis replace him. I wonder what happened to that. Maybe he thought "The Santa Clause is about Santa, not Curtis". If that is why he scrapped the idea, I agree with him completely.
