  • No I was driving from one city to another city. It was cca 10km city, 15km thru villages and 15km highway. I was driving very slowly. This car can't do less.

  • ???? ive reached 3.2l on the highways in germany... but 2.6l you are constantly on 90km/h???

  • With my 330d i reach 3.1l/100 km at 90 km/h...

  • @Abibamed

VW Lupo is not mine so I am not fighting for them now. But everything is up the way of riding. So If the same rider has with VW 2.0tdi 103kw consumption for example 6.5-7.0l/100km than with Lupo will have 3.7-4.2l/100km. I know this 330d, which also has good comsumption, but not better than 2.0tdi.

  • Otherwise I have another (long-term) comparison:

My father was driving with Lupo every day to work only 2km (very short start). The way was thru city + uphill and downhill + open and close garage and gate(engine still running).

    Average comsumpion (summer):

    VW Lupo 1.2tdi 44kw ... 5.4l/100km (automatic)

    Suzuki Swift 1.0 33kw ...9.5l/100km (automatic)

    Skoda Fabia 1.4 50kw ...13.2l/100km (manual)

    Skoda Octavia 1.9tdi 66kw ...6.7l/100km (automatic)

Till full fuel tank not from on board computer!

  • lupo is the bomb!

  • my best was 2,5L but only for a couple of minutes in Eco mode.If you travel a lot u can achieve less than 3L/100km I mean that's less than 94 miles per gallon (imperial).I wouldn't change my lupo for the world

  • @gountzas my best was 2,4 for a couple of minutes.

    normally 2,9-3,1 ^-^

  • @Xcelerator1337 Mine is a 2004 Euro4 model and the batery is placed in the back unlike the ones that were made before 2003 and have the battery in front next to the engine. Older ones had a start/stop system but mine hasn't ,do you know anything about it?? Does your Lupo have a Start/Stop?

  • @gountzas mine is from 2002 and has the battery in the back (i think only before 2001 the battery was placed in the front)

my lupo does not have a start/stop.

the start/stop was a optional equipment like the heated seats or the electric windows.

  • Damn... 2.6L/100km => ~38.4615 kmpL/90.4233 mpg... Jesus Christ!

  • The best i done was 3,7l/100km

  • our landcruiser uses almost 4 times that

  • Sakra 3L Lupo,to se v ČR moc nevidí

  • Car looks nice is small and eats not much fuel=3,5 l / 100 km average.

How about repair, gearbox, engine after 200000km, turbine, isnt it too expensive yearly ?

  • @mcz1987, idk about Lupo .... but most of diesel engines require little maintenance, VW usually has good gearboxes, however turbo's can be broken if the drive style is not adequate...

  • @mcz1987 just because it has a turbo, doesn't mean it's going to fall to pieces...

  • Nice consumption. I wish car like yours. But just a little bigger. :-( A2 1.2Tdi will be enough, bad for me is the price.

Do you have still factory transmission? Or was replaced new one?

  • I love and own Lupo 3L since 9 years now... and I hope that when I need a new car I can find another 3L again.

  • hi buddy !!! vw diesels engines r really great at average and performance both ...

can u upload a clip just of ur engine cabin ...

i really wanna see that engine ...
