I'd love for this to be available on the Wii Shop or the 3DS shop. Unfortunately that cheats a lot of regular DS users without the shop, so it's not really a fair deal. But I'd still hope for at least a Shop release if they don't port it.

How about this

They convert it to Xbox Live arcade/ Wii Virtual Console/PSN and then release it. Then they're literally not spending any money to port it. Then us (THE FANS) can play the game. Sure, it won't be portable, but it'd be more reasonable to Capcom than mass producing it on DS!

There were originally no plans to release the game in America/Europe/Australia/anywh­ere outside of Japan, because that would require them to take the JAPANESE version and translate/localize it to ENGLISH, so they could sell it there and it "wasn't worth it".

I'm an European myself, and frankly I'm satisfied as long as I can import the game in a language I can actually read. 2. When did Nintendo ignore States?

@11bossk12roblox AAI2 will not be released "outside of Japan". This means everywhere mate, not just the USA. The only reason why the USA was pointed out first was because of its large portion in the gaming market.

In other words, AAI2 is a strictly local release - it will not be translated or shipped internationally (as it stands, though Capcom is considering other methods of release other than a straight-up international release). Before you judge, do your research.

My thoughts? If it really is locolazation problems, they can EASILY make another Wiiware version to eliminate shiping costs.

they could just digitally distribute this is the dsi-ware or 3ds-ware channel. surely it would be considerably less expensive than a physical copy. Or they could release it on the shopping channel just like the phoenix wright games. Personally i'd prefer the first 2 options since i prefer to play ace attorney on the go. They could even make additional money in japan by releasing a japanese digital distribution copy of the game too. Has Capcom already mentioned any considerations yet?

Layton Vs. Ace Attorney is up to Level-5. Capcom has little to say to that, most probably they'll bring it over because Layton has been such an incredible hit.

That's such a bummer, because I really like AAI 1, but sometimes, I just couldn't understand the dialogues and jokes due to some complex vocabulary.

Capcom is doing a HUGE step back into the 80s, but at least, almost every single game from the 80s didn't required texts to finish the game... AA games however...
