Well I finally came up with a workaround for my PC if anyone else is having trouble with running on WIndows 7; (My system is a Pentium D 2x2.8GHz 64 bit, 4GB RAM, GeForce 8800 GTS; Windows 7 Pro). Virtualization. I run a copy of XP in WMware Workstation and run the game on that. While not ideal it does ironically work much better this way than on my host OS.

@akuyume7 glad to hear you got it worked out. i run an hp G60 with windows 7 and an intel celeron inside, pretty much a stock laptop. and it works great on here, except occaisionally NF will "crash" and a message will apear saying "ready for debug" but other than that most of the time it works great.
